Down in the Cincinnati/Dayton area we have Will Dlesk. Him and I do a lot of work together and held the first Viper Tech day back in May at my garage to try and help all of the local viper owners out with their issues.
Mine does this as well on a 2000. It's rare but I have seen it happen. Just like you said, I pull up and it's basically lose. I put it back down and this time when I pull up on it, it's snug and working normally.
Interesting how that link you posted has some of the parts in a very unOEM gloss finish and other pictures are of the actual OEM pieces. I have it in my Gen V ACR Extreme and they are far from glossy. More of a matte finish.
Thank you Blackwidow for sharing. Nice to see the 2016/17 VINed ACR number at 483. I wonder how many were Extremes. I imagine most of them. Probably more rare to have a non Extreme ACR!

I have been watching the ACRE market for the last couple of months telling myself when they got near $200k I'd buy one. I saw the $229K with 16k miles in Texas, maybe that's the one you were talking about. I passed on it because it's not a true ACR but a GTC with all the ACR options from the...
Sounds like you dodged a bullet. I wouldn't trust a dealership with a car that most of the dealership techs have never seen.
I'm located in Springboro and Will Dlesk helps me maintain my Viper. He also runs the local Viper chapter I believe.
I am located in Springboro and I haven't come across anything yet that Will Dlesk couldn't help me with. You'll find him on Facebook and he runs the local Viper group I believe.
All used car values are going up. As much as I do think the Viper will continue to climb once this printing of money ends. Print more money, everything "goes up in value" because it takes more money to buy anything.
