Small mod

My goal is to keep my viper stock, we at least the motor for reliability. My rear end seal is starting to leak and will need replaced. I thinking of putting some gears in it, hidden mod, and was wondering if its better to go with 3.55 for drivability or if I can do 3.73 gears What do you have any how was the effect? I use to ride crotch rockets and gearing the bikes had the most seat of the pants power feel

it looks like you have 17 inch wheels?

if so, i'd go 3.55

both are good and it sounds like you know how gears change how a car drives, it comes down to how you will enjoy your car the most

Go with the 3:55's, you won't be sorry. The only thing that suffers some is mileage, until you and the machine get used to it. I believe the car has been transformed toward more drivability on the street. I lost some of that low end "holy crap" torque feel, but it more than makes up for it up top; you can even use 6th....!

Really? I thought you would have gained more low end torque feel. Quicker sprints.

O that's not good. I thought it was more low end torque as the car has stock 3.07

Yep, lower gears is more torque down low and less on top end, which is why the tires tend to spin more down low in the lower gears with a lower gear change. 3.55 are great gears. Had them in my Gen III Coupe and will be adding them to my 96' RT over the winter. What the car should have come with from the factory then and now they do.

Are talking just internals?
How about intake, exhaust & tune?
Highflow filters, smooth airbox to throttlebody tubes, headers, highflow cats, and full 3" exhaust, with a tune will gain you about 50hp. Also the benefits of sounding better, having cooler sidesill temps, ....and Respect from other carguys

The guy before me put the carbon fiber K&N box that seals to the hood and it has the smooth tubes also. I am going to have it tuned and a lower temp thermostat put in.
