Wow, that is a huge gain... :wow:
Yes, I'm using the belanger headers with HF cats and 2.5" corsa.
Although it only shows 35whp gain over stock but the SOTP feel of
power increase was noticeable and I guess that's what matters :2tu:
Perhaps that's why the dyno at DC is called a 'hearbreaker'?
Famoso 1/30/10 private drag event and it was my first time running a
Gen 4 on a drag strip. Air was good as well as track prep so I was
hoping to break 10's but it didn't happened. I noticed the car is much
harder to put the power down than a modded Gen 3 I used to have
due to the power...
I have them on my 09 SRT-10.
Too bad they don't make the two-piece rotors for the rear but overall
I like them alot. I had them on my heavily tracked C6-Z06 before and
they performed really well and actually lasted longer than the two-piece
stoptech rotors.
I know a few track junkies with...
+1000..... I once loaned my viper to my friend and this happened...
NEVER, ever, ever loan out your viper to anyone!!!!!
I hope your friend recovers soon...
I know exhaust sounds can be subjective but the drone is... pretty much drone... :dunno:
I had a Corsa track (3") with RT HF cats on my Gen 3 and had an almost zero drone.
I rode in a 08 vert with the full belanger system (headers, cats and exhaust) and the
drone was unbearable.... :crazy2:
Yes, the console is OEM and was a part of option.
It was called 'Light Arc Instrument Panel Bezel, Light Arc Shifter Bezel'
and priced at $695. I will take more pics of the console and post
Oops, a correction on the dyno numbers...
576 and 546 was uncorrected. The corrected dyno numbers were
556whp and 527wtq so my car is no different than others.
I've been taking vipers to Korea since 2001 and it has been a great
experience driving the American icon there. I think there are...
+1 for Hawk pads. On my previous Gen 3 vert, I've tried all three
street app. Hawk pads. (Hawk Ceramic, Hawk HPS and Hawk HP Plus)
the favorite was HP Plus although they can be noisy and dusty.
A much better stopping power than Hawk Ceramic and HPS pads IMO...
After some spirited drive on the twisty canyon road I've noticed that the
car feels more predictable when pushed hard. Now I can 'comfortably'
exit the fast corners. Obviously I didn't push the car to the limit but the
overall handling transition was far better than the stock. It also...
Although I dig the slammed looks but as the car will be driven
mostly on the street I didn't want to have the clearance issue
going over the speed bumps and etc.
A few goodies on the 09 SSG vert (56K beware)
Hello guys, I just completed a few mods to the 09 SSG vert and wanted
share them with you. Dan at DC worked on the car with a help of Jon@
partsrack and Mark@woodhouse getting the right parts. :D
After the storm cleared we had a beautiful...
Great info!!!! I've been wanting the shorter 5th and 6th gears for the longest time.
Can you please PM me the contact info. of your tranny tech? Instead of 3.73, I'll be
going with the 3.55.
Wow, I too saw this car at the cars&coffee this past Saturday.
I even took many pics of some interesting mods he had on his car.
I feel bad for the owner and I hope no one was hurt.
When I had a Gen 3, the 3.55 gear made the car perfect hence I'm
looking forward to getting a gear swap on my Gen 4.
I have a friend who put 4.10 in his stock Gen 4 and he swears
it's the perfect gear for his car. When I had a chance to drive his, I
was surprised it didn't feel as 'short'...
