    Tail of the Dragon '09

Good Eye there Shandon - I think that I'm in a club with some depth, FINALLY! Those twins were laid down about a year ago in my '91 ZR1 (many mods, 470+HP). However, I have learned to BEHAVE even better since then, now that I have a monster snake to teach me manners!!:drive:

    Sever GEN4 clutch issues

However, in my situation, car is still perfectly drivable - except when doing uphill twisties with lots of curves (ie Tail of the Dragon type driving). After stop curves, or when go downhill (??) the clutch tends to 'come back'...very weird. How can I check from under the car to see what might...

    Tail of the Dragon '09

Understood. Again, being a new member, I'm not yet sensitive to the general needs/wants of VCA members. I may be a little to the left (right?) of the third deviation from normal on the Viper ownership bell curve anyway...:dunno: I still wanna meet everyone at this Dragon getaway - will show...

    Sever GEN4 clutch issues

Ditto for my 08 - gets worse as I drive uphill, going downhill, OR AS COOLS DOWN, seems to self-rectify. :evilmad:

    ZR1 Nurburgring time correction

No war, just stating my opinions- which is why there is a debate (perceived, contrived or otherwise) :chillpill:

    ZR1 Nurburgring time correction

Well, I understand it thoroughly. I've had a 2007 and then later a 2008 Z06 (which I traded on my first '08 Viper in March of this year, then to the new '08 a few weeks ago). While I have not driven a ZR1 (but did own a 'King of the Hill' for a while), I can tell you this: The experience of...

    Tail of the Dragon '09

Being a new one on the block so-to-speak, I'd rather throw gas on this fire than water (as y'all are a hoot), but alas, I must speak the somber truth. Those Z's on our planned weekend will number in the many hundreds (some with 1200 HP for real) and will be like seadoos behind a cruiser (fleas...

    Am I delusional?

I, apparently, was the owner of that car AFTER the experience ( I did not know it going in, and don't know how the dealership found out that history after I traded - I couldn't get that info and I tried!). All that I can tell you is that it is a great ride, very fast and MAY have some mods...

What might this '08 be worth?

as to the stripes - they paint them on after the fact, and do not wet sand to bring the level down before clear coating the whole deal- they do almost look like vinyl in that they are raised, particularly the black ones, as are mine. However, they really are paint! You however (as another post...

What might this '08 be worth?

All I can say is, regardless of your purchase price- if it is maintenanced, it is hard to kill this motor! Also, go over it completely for any repairs, etc. Used ones are listing on ebay for about 69-72k, but with lower miles. How anyone could worry about 13k miles on a car built like a tank...

Viper driver seat 2" lowering kit

Could anyone send me the instructions for the install of the 2" drivers seat lowering kit from Northwind Engineering Inc, as they were not included in the package. Much thanks, and headbruised...

Air Bag Light after lowering seat install

Yes, everything is plugged in. No, to replicate the distance that the sensor is from the metal below the stock seat, I duct-taped around a small bar of ferrous metal, then attached to the sensor. This assembly is mounted below the new seat. I'm surprised the system is throwing a fault...

Air Bag Light after lowering seat install

Help - I temporarily put in a scat seat to lower, and give my 6'3" frame some more room in my 2008 Viper. Moved the (don't know part name) air bag collision sensor (?) to below bracket, grounded unit (as if still screwed to bracket), and replicated the seat distance center, by attaching ferrous...
