Vetts everywhere....more made in a single year then all Vipers combined!!

Have to start to wonder how much longer Viper owners will track their Gen I and II cars, since body parts are going to get more scarce and expensive, and wear and tear on the vehicle also will contribute to depreciation. (I'm speaking of basically week-end cars and garage queens, not dedicated...

Chased by the Georgia Highway Patrol................

Every year, dozens of cops running "code 3" kill innocent people, poor schmucks driving legally and gently through city streets before their lives are ended by the adrenaline-fueled god-trip cop-'tards... These few who've come out of the woodwork to play the moral superiority and "they're...

Chased by the Georgia Highway Patrol................

Yeah, Viper owners, who have to achieve at least a certain modicum of success to own such a machine, are a bunch of "paranoid maniacs." That's the ticket! And all those power-tripping traffic cops tooling around in their cruisers harrassing the public are "normal." LOL

Plugs/wires--half done with a couple of questions

Guess I'm just from that school of "ain't broke, don't fix it." I use MOPAR OEM oil filter, plugs, plug wires, etc... Seems to work well for me.

Plugs/wires--half done with a couple of questions

Not an expert by any means, but why did you not put the MOPAR wires back on? Why MSD? Clearly they are not resistor wires, so expect radio frequency interference in your audio system. I replaced all my plugs wires with MOPAR and plugs with OEM last year and no problems...

    3:55's v's 3:73's

Re: 3:55\'s v\'s 3:73\'s There's a great table on this site that shows speeds in gears with different rear axle ratios. I'll try to link it here, but if it doesn't show up, do a quick search in the technical stuff. There's really not much difference between 3.55 and 3.73s gears table

    3:55's v's 3:73's

Re: 3:55\'s v\'s 3:73\'s I don't think there's that much difference, really. But the point about 1/4 mile traps is significant - I don't like running at redline, so if I was really into 1/4 mile, I'd probably dislike having a fourth gear redline at 120. When running road courses, I usually...

Chased by the Georgia Highway Patrol................

Never fails: put the word "pig" somewhere in a post about cops and the two or three that are always somewhere in the woodwork come out and squeal... Bottom line: yep, gotta have laws; yep, gotta have some police. But traffic cops are usually PIGS. (Not to mention vice cops who plant...

    Anyone installed TPS on Kumhos?

Seeing from the other thread that Kumhos, kind of like run-flats, don't immediately present obvious indications when they've gone flat, how hard is it to install Tire Pressure Sensors? Anyone tried this with a Viper? I assume you just have to de-mount the tires and install the integrated TPS...

Wow - the Kumho V700 are effectively run-flats (found out by accident).

Sorry, but I don't agree: if you've put more than 3K miles on a set driving on real world roads, you are definitely going to have some sand-blasting, at minimum... Even the 3M I put on doesn't stop it all. Worst areas are the undersides of the panels covering the cats and muffs, and painted...

    Tire Life

If your having no traction problems with OEM, I'd stick with them personally... When you mod beyond their traction abilities, you'll know you've got to do something about it. Kumhos wear pretty well, again, it depends on what kind of use you put them to. Since I put less than 3K per year on...

Gen IIIs cheaper than Gen IIs

Tend to agree - RT's are the Viper - and they are more fun. But GTS is nice too. Both are going to be climbing in value (well-preserved samples). There were just too few made, and the number that survive seems to get smaller each year. Put that 96 B&W with a hundred miles on it that...

Z06 is a compelling alternative to Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Maserati and Ford GT

and why not? If it's defeatable, it's a win-win for everybody. Not all drivers can handle the torque --- putting some traction control in will make this car more marketable everywhere. No doubt about it!
