    Roe Racing Supercharger Intercooler Pic....

Hi Guys, The picture was hosted on our old website server and is no longer available. Even though we built this some time ago, I'm just having trouble getting over the concern of putting a water cooler inside the intake. It's not that the design is bad, it's just that we'd have to rely on an...

    Florida Roll Call Report In

Re: Florida Roll Call Report In Power just came back on at the shop about an hour ago. Makes it kind of difficult when you're trying to get ready for VOI. Had a tornado nearby. No "major" damage yet.

Re: Ok, since some of you will not be at VOI, here\'s our Gen3 / Ram SC .... As it stands now, we're hoping to keep the kit at about the same price as the current Gen1 and Gen2 production kits. We'll just have to see where we end up in development and production costs when complete. At this...

Re: Ok, since some of you will not be at VOI, here\'s our Gen3 / Ram SC ..... Since the kit will be going on new cars and trucks, yes, we're going to persue it. It would not be easy to get certification with larger fuel injectors than stock and using a different manifold. Using a programmable...

This is the one of two Pre-Production kits built so far, which are no longer in the prototype phase. We...

The smallest diameter we've produced is 2.3". There's enough belt wrap to have no slip with that small of pulley as long as they're coated with the process we have done to them by a company in Indiana (done to all the pulleys we produce). Trent's getting a 2.35" when they come back from coating...

"You missed one important instruction that my first Tuner also missed. Don't leave the dipstick cap on top of the charger" Good catch Dennis! Woody, put the allen screw plug that was there back in. Looks great. Let us know if you need any tweaks. I'll have everything at VOI to update, change...

    Heavy engine noise

When you said the spark plug was broken, what do you exactly mean? Did the insulator break, parts missing? If so, maybe they were in the cylinder while it was running, but then blew out the exhaust? Picture available? On the good news side, at least the compression was ok. Glad to hear it ran...

    VEC2 Tuning?

No, it won't hurt anything. You are in fact doing what it needs and helping, not hurting, driveability. Yes, you'll end up compensating for the cam profile by going into vacuum a bit to create your fuel enrichment on the Fuel Load page. Take a look at some of the Fuel Load and Fuel RPM pages on...

    VEC2 Tuning?

Yes. Stock vacuum at closed loop idle is typically 12.5 inches plus. It's normal to have to take that much fuel out if your idle vacuum is that low. Regards, Sean

Got the HP on the \'04 to normal, but something is about to let go ... Hi Everyone, Between replacing the spark plugs and doing a compression test, the HP on our 2004 SRT came up to the "normal" range, even though we actually didn't "find" anything wrong. It's now at about 429 RWHP and in the...

UNSOLVED MIStery. For those who want a challenge, I need major help.

Hi John, Any news? On an interesting note, I recently ran into this problem when testing AKovacs PCM, VEC2, MAP sensor assembly recently. I finally got my car to start missing at 5188 RPM (logged on the dyno). The problem occurred only after the car (and PCM) got hot. Once I got it to do it, I...

    V Notch Displayed

Re: VEC2 V notch Hi Everyone, Thanks to a little testing assistance from Ken and Jack, I think we're close to wrapping up the cause and correction for the V notch. Until we try the change on another couple cars, I reluctant to say that it's 100% fixed, but we're getting there. If it...

    Warning about Elite Motorsports

Hi Lou, Sad story. No matter what happens next, you must at least get the motor rebuilt properly. To go through it with the fine tooth comb it now needs, I would suggest Arrow Racing Engines. They're as human as anyone else, but they're the most experienced Viper engine builders around. I bought...

UNSOLVED MIStery. For those who want a challenge, I need major help.

Mike, The VEC2 is off the car and the problem persists. If the cam sensor is loosing signal, maybe there's something going on with how the sensor is picking up off the cam. It is an aftermarket cam. The notch in his log is telling us something. regards, Sean

Got Bad News From The Dealer Today - Animal Living In My RT/10

I don't know if I still have the picture, but we had a Viper come in that had a large rat skeleton on the intake and several smaller skeletons in the valley of the motor. If I find the picture, I'll post it.

UNSOLVED MIStery. For those who want a challenge, I need major help.

Hi John, Based on your graph above using the cam sensor as your RPM input, I'd definitely change the cam sensor, or swap it out with a known good one to test. Put your logger back on and record a run afterward. Hope that's it. Regards, Sean

My Viper caught fire on Dyno at 5000rpm !

Hi Jack, A rich or lean code is set by the long term fuel trim adaptives reaching the end of their adjustment. Depending on what type of scan tool is used to read them, they generally have a value range of -32.8% to +32.8%. That's just a reference value though, it really doesn't have that much...
