Wow, this thread has gotten a little heated. As far as I can see, RSI is a Supporting Vendor. So he and others have the right to recommend their stuff. I am not a fan boy of anyone's, so please don't think I am taking sides, I'm just stating facts. I have been researching engine builders for...
Interesting. I just did the opposite swap. Although I 100% agree with you about following whatever contour there is to the road, I feel like I get a better feel for the road with the Cups. The rolling sandblaster feel is about the only negative I have found.
What's the deal with the intake in the rear window? I have seen it on other race cars, but what does it cool? Is it for fuel, that's about the only thing I could see needing to be kept cool back there.
This is a lose/lose situation. All you can do now is cut your losses, forget about profits, learn from it and be done with this guy. Think of all the things you will do differently after dealing with this type of customer and make sure they won't happen again. A little bad press isn't going...
I'm glad I'm not the only one that has that. I have been working on the car for the last two days and to be honest it looked worse half way through than it did in the beginning. I have to give it to you junkman detailing cars is a whole lot harder than it looks. Hopefully it will be done today.
I have had my Sport Cups in the rain several times. I do drive cautiously when it is wet, but I didn't notice them to be much different than the average tire.
I was in the same boat. I have my original 96 wheels and tires on the wall which were replaced with a set of six spokes and Sport Cups. It makes a world of difference to the driving experience.
I think the Gen5 has the best sounding side exhaust stock, but I still think the rear exhaust on the Gen2 will probably never be beat just by the location of the tips to each other.
I still prefer the looks of the Gen 2, especially from the front. I can't argue that the new one is a faster, better, more refined beast, but the crudeness of the earlier cars is what lured me to the Viper in the first place. It's also the fact that the earlier cars have the potential for such...
It's not to say that it doesn't belong on this site somewhere, but can a moderator edit out 1BADGTS's posts and clean up this thread? It was about a guy who's patience was running low waiting on his car and has turned into a thread on who's d!ck is the longest. It's like a return to sophomore...
I think even though the car is a masterpiece, SRT is losing sales based on smaller points that matter as much as the car itself. Although I am not in the financial position to purchase one yet, the time isn't far off. One of the huge things to me is the locked computer, but that is being...
Warranty, liability, it's all out the window if you mess with the PCM. I know when I was car shopping, the Gen4s weren't even a consideration based on the locked computer. No way in hell Am I going to let a car company tell me what I can or can't do to my car. I understand that I am...
Thanks for the information and clarification. I'm on the fence about porting the 2s, adapting a set of ported 3s or just biting the bullet and do a Gen 4 top end or possibly Strikers. I need to break down cost per Real HP and finally get my ducks in a row. So many variables, so little real...
Believe it or not, I envy the soon to be retired more than the young Viper owners. I was 36 when I bought mine, 3 kids and house slowed down that purchase.
Most snow birds have flown back to the Midwest by now so I would guess its someone that has moved there. That is my favorite color combination, but I had to "settle" for a B&W since those don't pop up ofteb.
Nicely done. All I ever hear about is hard hard it is to get in and out of my 96. All of them have been under your age, thanks for the ammo to give them crap. Enjoy the ride.
How about doing the average retirement age on here. I'm more interested in who planned correctly to leave the...
Re: Can anyone post pics of their BLUE GTS with Razor or 6 spoke Gen 3 or Gen 4 wheel
Give me until tomorrow. I have a B&W with six spokes, just no pictures right now.
Kand3g,
I had mine done last week by Tom also. I heard about yours when I got there, mine turned out to be minor next to yours. It all lools good now and I can actually get my oil filter off.
