This was one of the most popular IN/KY VCA events of 2006!
We'll have each of the three generations up on lifts and Tom will go over the differences and improvements through the years. In addition, he'll be discussing proper maintenance procedures, performance tips and tricks, safety issues...
You know 44, my memory of it is that I did. If not, Craig gave me the phone number of Miller and I ordered it directly through them. It's been years.......
Miller's number is 1-800-801-5420
Hi Craig,
I in fact bought mine from you so I'd be happy to send it back for you to analyze. I love the concept but have gotten tired to hosing brake fluid off my side sills! :omg:
Are you still at the same address?
Thanks
My guess is that the master did get too low as I can't see any other way for air to get in. Also, if the fluid is agitated, either by shaking the bottle or by a rough pour into the master, air will be introduced into the lines.
I also use this method and while a lot of air leaks around the...
Because windshield mounting does limit visibility somewhat, I used my Garmin unit with an external antenna. Antenna sits on the rear bulkhead under the rear glass and the unit itself on the console with the sandbag mount. Works for me.
Side note: The Tom Tom I used was unviewable in direct...
If you open the hood and put your hand above the airbox while the blower is on high, you'll see the flow is pretty darn strong. Perhaps insulating the engine side exterior of the airbox to minimize heat infiltration would help?
Just to add to the confusion, early 1997 GTS's still had the 1996 style cast 17" wheels. Somewhere along the line, later 1997's went to forged with a better polish and the 1998's were even better (shinier). I upgraded to 1998 wheels just in case.
I changed to Dex-Cool within months of purchasing my new Viper because (in order):
I wanted the water pump to last longer.
I wanted to take advantage of the lastest in coolant technology, including better thermal transfer.
I hate changing coolant (almost as much as ATF changes) and wanted to...
My understanding is no. It in fact limits the frequency range that goes to the subs so even if you install a pair of nice JBL subs in place of the cheaper stock rear speakers, it doesn't sound any better.
Others know more that I on this subject, but IMO a full transplant is required for...
Re: \'96 GTS wheels/rims
Street tires "not much" means that with the limited adhesion of stock sized street tires the stresses generated are "supposedly" below cast wheel failure, hence no recall.
I personally wanted the stock look but the piece of mind of forged wheels and bought a set of...
Re: \'96 GTS wheels/rims
Street tires, not much. Slicks, not allowed.
Not sure if 1996, early 1997 cast rims (also cast) are even allowed on the track for Viper Days.....
It's a 2.5" Corsa system. I have the same, but cut off the tips and welded in stock ones that I had chromed. The Corsa oval tips look pretty fugly to me, however happy to sell them to anyone that wants to impersonate a Corsa look.....
The hood air vent for HVAC use (passenger side) drains into the HVAC airbox and then into a small diameter hose at the bottom of the airbox. Torrental rain over a period of time will overwhelm this hose and ultimately flood the passenger footwell. Happened to most of the Vipers at VOI7 in...
Worse, on early GENII Vipers, Dodge requires that you buy a new side window that is slightly smaller as the travel of the window slightly exceeds the weatherstrip length.
If you catch it early it can be easily repaired but by the sounds of it perhaps it's too late. A search will show you how...
