Your just seeing the discoloration in the stainless steel cause by the heat/gas of the welding process. Trust me there is not one bit of rust on the whole system from Header to Tip! ;)
After many months of research and planning I have finally started my ACR project. Subject is pictured here....
As you can see I have already put my 6 spokes on and have my ACR 5-spokes waiting for some MICHELIN Slicks.
Here is a picture of some of the items I'll be installing on the car...
Lol, now that was funny right there! :lmao: I will soon find out as I already ordered a set from Tom @ DMS South last week when I ordered my ACR-X Borla 3" Exhaust. Will post pics when they arrive.........
All I know is they have quite a bit more bark than the stock SRT/ACR system. I will have video in my upcomming thread so you'll be able to hear my before & after. :2tu:
This thread is the best example of :bdh: I think I have ever seen. I wish someone would just delete thee whole damn thread..........
Let's move on guys.
I'm not really sure how many others BBG has done to this point but I would say I am one of the 1st to do the whole BBG 700R package.
I am going to have my car on a Mustang MD-500 dyno this Friday to get my "Completely Stock" basline. Then I will send out my heads and intake to BBG for the...
Just do a search on youtubube for ACR-X sound and it should help you make a decision. My car won't be back together till my heads @ intake get some love at Bad Boyzz Garage in Ca.
Keep in mind the ACR-X DO NOT RUN ANY CATS WHATSOEVER!! So if your planning on running them I can't help you out...
My 2009 ACR Solid Graphite was 1 of 4 without stipes but it was the only 1 of the 4 that was a "Hardcore" and there were a few other things like interior color that would also make mine a true 1 of 1 over and over. I got my last two Vipers from Baxter and when they know your not just kicking...
I assume you tried them on each side? How far "off" are the holes and pins? Go have a stiff drink and re-evaluate. Maybe whoever you ordered them from sent mounts for a 1974 Ford Pinto.............:crazy2: Don't wait for a few days as it will drive you crazy!!
Contact Toddy Gomez @ Bad Boyzz Garage (916) 505-9026 Price is around $1000 with shipping.
You'll need to either be running the "Factory" ACR-X Headers or have some other way to adapt to the 3" pipe that connects to the elbo or cat if your running them.
I think I am actually going to get a second rear differential so I can go back and forth as needed. Not that I plan on pulling it out very often but it just seems like the best option for me right now. I REALLY wish they had shortened 5th gear a year earlier. I don't know how I'll...
Another vote for Milwaukee -Chicago area with Road America as the track! I'm good friends with the President of R/A and I beleive he recently purchased a Viper! It really is scenic and Elkhart Lake has a world class resort on the lake 2 minutes from the track. Good airport access to either...
How about a shot showing the "inside" where new 90 deg elbo goes in? Is it a pipe thread or a bulkhead type of fitting? Just courious before I do my own. Or, does the oil splash shields block that specific view?
My (American Racing) :usa: BBG ACR-X five into one merge headers are bing built as we speak. My plan is to have a ACR-X "clone" whithout the cage and fuel cell. I am also getting my heads & upper/lower intake done by BBG to help out in the H.P. dept. Then it's gonna be a OS Giken w/ 3:33 or...
Just want to say a BIG THANK YOU :headbang: for spending the time with me to help make & clarify my decisions about all the mods I have planned for my ACR! I really look forward to getting the stock dyno done ASAP so I can start tearing some big parts off the car!! Dude...... I can hardly...
