    Re: Florida\'s new drag racing law I bet it won't stand up to the first lawsuit. Kind of like the federal asset seizure laws. If you can afford an attorney, you get your stuff back, especially if you were never convicted of anything, and/or charges were dropped.

    RayG, when the car bucked for a second (your second post), did it seem 'mechanical'? I've had a broken motormount on a TH350, on pre-OBD car, and I could 'tell', but it didn't shut off. Does the transmission seem as if the shaking could be caused internally, not from a bad motormount?

    I've had a sudden loss of power under acceleration due to a bad alternator/battery. It was a night with all accessories on. However, after it died, it wouldn't start. The battery wouldn't hold a charge, and the alternator wouldn't charge/supply power.

    It's not ilegal not to cooperate with the police, only to lie to them. After checking to make sure the car was in the garage, you could tell them it is secure and that's it. You are not obligated to let them in, regardless of what they say. And if they say 'If you haven't done anything wrong...
