Junkman, given that these spots are brand-new, what's your opinion of the "white vinegar" (or similar pH-based) treatment? Seems like these deposits should dissolve into solution if they're only a few days old...
To me, the "right" stripes for the GTS hood will be broad swoops originating from the forward vents... as in the current ALMS car.
If there's an ACR in the future, I could see color schemes utilizing matching GTS-R stripes and roof paint. Hope we get to see that!

A couple of us ran the Wednesday Night Drags last night and were treated to a walkthrough of SRT's rolling museum of Viper. And the new ALMS car, wow. BTW, the yellow Mopar-ized (track pack) Gen V has me twitching for my wallet.
We talked at length with Tom O'Dell of SRT, one of the guys...
...oh, and I'd add a wideband gauge in addition to a boost gauge. Or IN PLACE OF a boost gauge, if you only have room for one... IMO, no FI car should be without one.
Good luck with this, I know it's a bummer.

I imagine there's gotta be a few people using the 9500ix radar/laser detector, mounted on (and tapping power from) their mirror. Can any of you recommend a specific mount (e.g. BlendMount) and/or power cord adapter (e.g. Invisicord) by catalog #s?
I'm most interested in Gen IV installations...
Exactly. It's a bummer, especially when seen on a Camaro.
But I do enjoy the literal basis for the color on a Viper: there's a reason it's best on our cars!

...also, the black center band on these cars is a fantastic true piano black. Can't remember if you were considering ACRs, but if your heart's not absolutely set on a solid SSG or VVO, consider the center band (with or without driver's stripe).
Seriously: I never hear anything but praise for the SSG; perhaps that's just people being kind, but they sure seem sincere. I wasn't looking for the color when I was shopping, but once seen in person it was absolutely striking.

Agree 100%! Give me more, more, more road course series racing... I'm saving space for it on the DVRs.
On that note, Rolex is at Seca this weekend (love the GTs). I see it on Speed TV's schedule for Sunday at 3 PM EST.

...also, remember that you only need OBDII if you want to log actual data from the car's sensors... all the track position, speed, lap times, altitude, and accelerometer data in my Seca video were captured by the smartphone and an external GPS widget. No OBDII.
Rich
Hey, guys... I haven't yet pursued adding OBDII logging to my setup in my original thread. But it shouldn't be a problem... maybe the easiest solution is to use a second smartphone and Bluetooth/WiFi OBDII dongle. When I was first looking for a simple, stand-alone plug-in logger I couldn't...
A new LFA version is running the Nordschleife...
