The 12C is perhaps one of the most fun cars I've driven. It just felt scary once you got past 70MPH. My Viper never gave me that feeling (perhaps shifting sort of breaks the feeling up)
Only way I'd grab one is with the extended warranty with it, $4k a year but all in all $350 a month is cheap...
I really think the used prices are going to stabilize around $170 and even driving the hell out of one you'll get back a large chunk of that. I don't see how prices can go much lower in the mean time.
Thankfully I live 1 mile from the newest McLaren dealer in the states :D
used MP4-12C's are just crazy priced and I don't think they'll be going much lower than $150k. I think you could pick one up, drive the hell out of it and lose little to nothing.
Really, really want one.
I have a hard time believing anyone that the dealer wouldn't take the car on a trade. They aren't "slapping" people in the face for trade in values.
Dealers checkout current auction rates and make offers based on what they can get at auction. Many dealers simply send trades to auctions...
You said it yourself, so unsure what you are trying to wiggle out of

There are such minor differences between the TA and the SRT/GTS that I don't see how anyone can think that they are leaps and bounds in differences. In reality it would take a pro driver to realize many of those differences.
Well, not quite since most buyers of the Gen V are new to the brand all together.
Nor did older Viper owners buy Gen IV's in large quantities.
This whole "Viper owners support the brand" thing is a giant myth.
