Cleaning out valley under Intake Manifold and see these cracks, now what?

Looking back at the photos, and knowing now that they weren't cracks, I would bet that you used brake cleaner as a solvent. The "sheet" of solvent flowed down the casting at an irregular rate with the particulates on the leading lower edge. Brake cleaner spreads very thin and flash dries...

lol ! Looked like cracks from here ! There weren't some beer goggles involved with the in-person inspection, were there?

Can you use a floor jack to lift the car from the differential, lift the rear wheels off the ground, and pull the car out? (Assuming that it is nose in.)

    Woodhouse/Arrow Mods

I think that what he meant to say is that FCA has denied a warranty claim on ONE engine failure as far as we, who follow the forums, know. Unless, of course, he has inside knowledge beyond forum posts. (This warranty issue is of particular interest to me as a buyer for a used Gen V; so, I am...

Reason for such a low price on this White 2014?

I doubt that Carfax will list it. The two cars that I am aware of having replaced engines don't list it. (including this one.) I very much doubt that average buyers would know to run the VIN at a Dodge dealer. I have never heard of doing that before I started following the Viper forums. But...

I agree, that that is a pretty dense post since the vendor made them because somebody asked.

Reason for such a low price on this White 2014?

How would the average buyer of a used Viper know that the engine had been replaced due to a r28 recall situation?

    How to bleed the clutch?

When you remove the cap, you should be looking at a very flexible rubber "diaphram" sitting in the master cylinder. Remove it and be careful to not drip fluid on your paint. Contact Steve, he is very helpful.

Reason for such a low price on this White 2014?

Ron, From appearances of the seller's Facebook posts, the car appears to be for sale now by a private party in a different state. It could be a ruse by the dealer, or it could be the person who the dealer sold the car to. He posted it for sale on the VCA facebook page and is upfront about the...

Finally, taking wheels off the easy way

I just saw the forum ad for those from reverselogic. I had not seen a product like that before. They seem like an excellent idea , especially for people that are picky about keeping their wheels pristine, especially expensive aftermarket wheels.

    Dkvader

For a high performance street tire, BF Goodrich Rival S is probably the best bet. Toyo R888 is also good for mostly dry and warm street driving; but, mostly track oriented and softer compound. Jon at viperpartsrack.com has been a little below tire rack's delivered price with the same fast service.

    Any interest in OE Michelin's for Gen 1 and 2 (17 & 18in)?

Interesting that the Tire Rack software doesn't list the BFG Rival S as options for the Gen 2 Viper 18" sizes. I just checked. However, definitely their site shows the Rival S are in stock in 335/30ZR18 and 275/30ZR18 sizes

Need Help with the Name of a Specific Part: 2005 Dodge Viper SRT-10 (First Post!)

Thanks, I visit several forums and rules differ, maybe mainly on whether links are allowed, though, now that I think about it. 1. Jon B ( Jon Brobst ) at Parts Rack. viperpartsrack.com Mostly new parts, aftermarket and OE; but also used parts, I think. If he doesn't have what you need, he...

Need Help with the Name of a Specific Part: 2005 Dodge Viper SRT-10 (First Post!)

I remembered a post about fixing front end damage, and I have found it here on the VCA forum. http://forums.viperclub.org/threads/668167-Rebuilding-my-blue-and-white-ACR From looking at that thread, I think that we may be talking about the fender support panel, 04865636AD or 4865636AI which...

FS: 2013 Stryker Red Viper GTS - Pristine Condition - Min Price: $135K

I agree with the seller here. He has a specific type buyer that he is marketing to and they are certainly out there; just, not as easy to find as a bottom feeder like myself, who counts his pennies, LOL ! _________________________________________________ Jim – ‘02 GTS ACR gray/silver -- sold...

Sideways through a ditch now car pulls hard right

That sounds like he was talking about a caster spec, not camber. Good to hear that the car is OK. Your description sounded like a lot of misalignment resulting from a damage free offroad "tweaking" like that; however, I have no experience to draw from to make a judgement anyway.

Sideways through a ditch now car pulls hard right

If it ends up being a rear wheel toe issue, inspect the knuckle casting for cracks in the arm that the toe link attaches to. This seems to be more of an issue on Gen III cars, though.

I never thought about facebook. Shows how old I am. It took me a minute to find what appears like an official site, versus someone's personal site with the same name. I assume this is where you are talking about? https://www.facebook.com/groups/4viperclub/?fref=nf

    O2 sensor question

I am guessing that you are asking this question due to reading a code? Anyway, your #2 O2 sensor is not in the normal location, given the mods to your car. Perhaps it is not installed at all if the previous owner did a cat delete. It would normally be in the exhaust pipe after it exits the...
