SRT10 POLISHED ALUMINUM WHEELS
The 'dullness' is actually scratches in the clearcoat (caused by brake dust or just driving). To remove the scratches use 3M Swirl Mark Remover. They will look new again. Could finish with a final coat of polish/wax for protection.- onerareviper

Comparing corvette forums to this forum
The biggest difference I've noticed is trying to get valid information on the 'Vette' sites is very difficult. Don't argue? Unless Dodge weighed the cars differently in 1992 vs. 2004, the SRT10 is lighter. Period. 3,456 - 3,380 = 76 pounds. Now remove a donut (20 lbs), small jack + tools (10 lbs max), that's 30 lbs. SRT10 is still 46 pounds lighter. A full tank of gas could make a difference, but I...- onerareviper

Anyone Have Problems With Rocks Attaching To The Side Sills??
Join the club.... Going catless may prevent the rocks/pavement from melting/sticking to the sidesill. Even with high-flows the sills still get fairly hot. Catless they are cool to the touch, but then you have to get simms and deal with possible exhaust smell and LOUD exhaust node.- onerareviper

OK... Great point about the price difference USA to UK. To be honest, I would probably not consider a Base Vette/Viper if I had to pay $72,000/$140,000. Although, it seems the other European make are more expensive as well? Why? We can get a Porsche GT3 for $100,000, and don't SL600 start...- onerareviper

3.55 Gears With Roe S/C ????
No one really talks about this much, but I feel once the tires break loose using 3.07's, it is very hard to modulate/hook back up... When I was running 3.73, modulating the throttle was easier, and if I did loose traction I just let off a bit and hooked back up very quickly. The stock 3.07...- onerareviper

Is it safe to mix different brands of synthetic oil?
Go to Walmart and spend $19.88 of a 5 quart jug + $4 1 quart (Mobile 1) for 'piece of mind'. For $25 bucks it's not worth worrying about... Then just use the Amsoil in your other car which probably has a smaller quart capacity.- onerareviper

SRT rims on 96 GTS.....looks GREAT
Call me crazy, but I think the OEM 17' (forged), 18' OEM and ACR wheels look as good if not better than all the after-market stuff. Nitrogen Filled Tires!
BTW - You will still have a change in air pressure, just not as significant. Whereas regular air saw increases of 6-8 pounds during normal highway driving, I am noticing 2-3 with Nitrogen. Measure tire pressure in the morning, and take a 10 minute drive on the highway - you'll see... 2-3...- onerareviper
