Autostream, Let's all say it again, "My name is Autostream, and I am wrong". Let me quote you VERBATIM from a previous post. Now let's see you 'spin' how HEAVIER doesn't have anything to do with weight. THIS SHOULD BE GOOD.... Especially when it lost 100 pounds, and GOT LIGHTER (the...

    SRT10 POLISHED ALUMINUM WHEELS

The 'dullness' is actually scratches in the clearcoat (caused by brake dust or just driving). To remove the scratches use 3M Swirl Mark Remover. They will look new again. Could finish with a final coat of polish/wax for protection.

Comparing corvette forums to this forum

The biggest difference I've noticed is trying to get valid information on the 'Vette' sites is very difficult. Maybe it's the quantity of people that post, but 1000's of so-called 'experts' having different facts/opinions makes it very difficult to gain knowledge. Then you have the 100's of...

Roe vs. Paxton/Vortech superchargers. Which is better?

Holy cow, RedGTS. You are a very NICE, extremely patient person.

Don't argue? Unless Dodge weighed the cars differently in 1992 vs. 2004, the SRT10 is lighter. Period. 3,456 - 3,380 = 76 pounds. Now remove a donut (20 lbs), small jack + tools (10 lbs max), that's 30 lbs. SRT10 is still 46 pounds lighter. A full tank of gas could make a difference, but I...

Roe vs. Paxton/Vortech superchargers. Which is better?

I have driven a DLM car (stage 1+) (740 RWHP). My experience was it pulled as a stocker would from idle to 2,500 or so, then the boost came on planting you in the seat. After first gear, you really didn't notice much lag (if any) when powering through the gears (if you shifted at 5,500 or...

    1992 RT/10 - Weight 3,456 lbs. 1996 RT/10 - Weight 3,445 lbs. 1996 up GTS - Weight 3,400 lbs. 2003 up SRT10 - Weight 3,380 lbs. ** Troll, you are wrong once again.

Yeah, I see automatics (not paddle shifters, as I don't believe these are really considered automatics) dominating the road racing circuit  Where have I been the past 30 years? I'm going to get me a Luxo 4,500 pound SL AMG and take on all comers.... As far as what other people...

I think I proved my point about trolldome.... But in the words of O'Rielly, "We'll let the audience decide". And for God sake's, please don't show us pictures of 4 automatics (2 luxury cars, 1 SUV, 1 Econo-box) while talking about performance. It is an insult to the Viper community to even...

Anyone Have Problems With Rocks Attaching To The Side Sills??

Join the club.... Going catless may prevent the rocks/pavement from melting/sticking to the sidesill. Even with high-flows the sills still get fairly hot. Catless they are cool to the touch, but then you have to get simms and deal with possible exhaust smell and LOUD exhaust node.

It's even a funnier read the second time around.... Walk the Viper rear.... Twitchy at it's limit  This guy is freak'in hysterical... If you insert 'On Playstation' in certain areas of this post, it becomes believable. Even professional drivers acknowledge the mega-hours of...

Let's see here.... 1.) You drive a Viper (that you don't own) for the first time and hit 170+ MPH. Under 30 minutes experience behind the wheel. Hmmm... I have some good friends that aren't bad drivers, but I would not feel comfortable letting them run the Viper to 170 MPH there first time...

ab's revenge on the HID group buy! Read to see if anyone interested $280.00

OK... Great point about the price difference USA to UK. To be honest, I would probably not consider a Base Vette/Viper if I had to pay $72,000/$140,000. Although, it seems the other European make are more expensive as well? Why? We can get a Porsche GT3 for $100,000, and don't SL600 start...

    3.55 Gears With Roe S/C ????

No one really talks about this much, but I feel once the tires break loose using 3.07's, it is very hard to modulate/hook back up... When I was running 3.73, modulating the throttle was easier, and if I did loose traction I just let off a bit and hooked back up very quickly. The stock 3.07...

Is it safe to mix different brands of synthetic oil?

Go to Walmart and spend $19.88 of a 5 quart jug + $4 1 quart (Mobile 1) for 'piece of mind'. For $25 bucks it's not worth worrying about... Then just use the Amsoil in your other car which probably has a smaller quart capacity.

ab's revenge on the HID group buy! Read to see if anyone interested $280.00

Re: ab\'s revenge on the HID group buy! Read to see if anyone interested $280.00 I'm a little confused? People are talking about melting wires, light burning out quickly, etc... Bottom line: If I'm going to spend $300, I want these things to last, be plug and play, and have no issues. So...

SRT rims on 96 GTS.....looks GREAT

Call me crazy, but I think the OEM 17' (forged), 18' OEM and ACR wheels look as good if not better than all the after-market stuff. I feel Dodge did a great job designing a super strong, 1 piece, easy to maintain (Polished/Clearcoat) (excluding ACR) rim. And the quality/construction ('98 -...

    Nitrogen Filled Tires!

BTW - You will still have a change in air pressure, just not as significant. Whereas regular air saw increases of 6-8 pounds during normal highway driving, I am noticing 2-3 with Nitrogen. Measure tire pressure in the morning, and take a 10 minute drive on the highway - you'll see... 2-3...

we carry HID headlight & foglight kits.....cheaper price

Wow. 'Me likey' how the price keeps dropping. Are these identical to what the Viper vendors were selling for $450 - $500? I think Roe used to sell them, but I can't seem to find them on his website anymore.

    SRT on BBC Top Gear

Wow. We finally agree on something... I would like to add that American's are more concerned with price. On pure performance, the C6 is right there with the $100,000+ Porsches, $150,000+ Ferraris, $100,000+ Aston Martins. This is why I can 'deal with' cheaper interior materials. I don't...
