in the middle of relocating so my xbox is packed up and i wont be able to d/l the Viper for a while, but I'm curious if it sounds different than the Gen 4 in the game?
Re: Someone please forward this message to Ralph Giles and the rest of the SRT Team-A
Are people just complaining for the sake of complaining? The Gen5 is too narrow? Some comparisons to some of the competition...
width, (height)
Ferrari 458:
76.3, (47.8)
Gen 5 Viper...
Anyone that thinks C6 styling wasn't strongly influenced by Gen 3 styling needs their head examined.
It seems because the C6 is the more popular car, the styling that was copied from the Gen 3 is now "Corvette styling" and any Gen3/4 styling SRT included in the Gen V is being called...
If a DSG is needed to "run with the best cars" care to explain why the ACR and ZR1 are faster around the Ring (and many other tracks) than the majority of cars equipped with a DSG? I don't see a problem with offering a dual clutch system as an option, I just hope they never do away with the manual.
Re: 7 min Hi Res video of 2013 Viper GTS running on the street. Ignition sounds at 4:
I really like it, although I'd prefer that front lip to be a separate piece (easier and cheaper to repair if damaged).
I think all the hype pushed expectations way too high and unrealistic for some people. Overall, I like what has been done with the new Viper... my only concern is what GM has in store with the C7.
What's the price? How can anyone expect a 700hp, 3,100 lb car with a good interior for half the price of a Ferrari or Lambo? Mustangs are HEAVY, they wont be anywhere near this Viper in terms of overall performance.
I went to bed while waiting for the results, just woke up and saw a 7:12.xx and I'm still in shock. Well done to everyone that was involved with making this happen.
