Now the big question. Do you have a license to drive that thing? With a GVW close if not at 26,000 lbs then hook a trailer to it puts you into possible CDL territory. Or whatever your state requires. Saw quite a few guys pulled going to and from track events all over the country this year...
"I understand there are a lot more specialty tools made for this job, but most of them seem like they're used for accurately determining the running position of the pinion. I'm hoping that I can simply take the difference in numbers between the shim stack currently in there and what's stamped...
Should be a good car. Interesting it has a 2004 Crankshaft in it and the car is a '03. Can tell this by the small head on the crank bolt in the pictures. Also be aware that if the state you register it in calls for OBD emission testing. This car will not pass do to the AEM controller.
Very Interesting. New owners looking at this please look to the folks that have been here for sometime and are well respected within the viper family for advise.
Based on some things here it shows little or no experience with street cars. SRF in A street car really. In a full on racecar sure. Yes...
I did speak to Rob. No secret on this one. If your fobs and doors stop working and the car is in theft mode. You can try unplugging the EEM under the dash. Wait a few minutes and plug it back in. Glad it did work for him. He felt like it would have been a long and expensive wait had we not talked.
The numbers are not that bad . Just because its in the Green does not mean its correct. It looks like he used the specified range as left and right specs for the camber. Which is not right. What he did fix was the excessive amount of rear toe in and front toe out. That is what made the most...
Did the tech set you up for a right hand track on purpose? Why did he do such a offset on the side to side Camber. It would be interesting to see the cams on the rear lower control arms to see if they are "clocked" the same when they were finished.
What I find works well when on the "clock" I will unhook the upper hose from the t-stat housing. Back fill the engine by way of pouring coolant into the upper hose into the radiator. With the radiator cap off and sometimes a heater hose unhooked as well. Pour coolant in untill it fills the...
Craig, I feel you have a ground Issue. I think I have run into something like this before.Just trying to remember whos car and just what I did.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the Vipair setup. So you know this thing makes crazy HP. Even with all 4 air cleaners pulling HOT air from behind the radiator.
Built my first engine at 14. Been working on Vipers since 1995. Not mad at anyone just dont understand why you want to pick a fight with Dan. Not here to knock the Mopar package. Spent last weekend with one at the racetrack. Ran very strong and was very impressed. Is it a good package Yes. Does...
I hope you get the numbers you are looking for. You have alot to backup with the posts you have made. If not I bet you will vanish from this site as fast as Lance did after he Schooled that Vette.
Let me make this easy. I found out how to do this back in '04. At that time I did share it with a few key folks in the viper world. Beyond that the only way I will share this info is with the OWNER of the car. And they will have to prove to me they are the owner. Other then that sorry but you...
Once the car has gone to "sleep" it wont do anything untill it sees the key being turned in the ignition. They changed this on the latter cars. The fob would wake the car up when pressing unlock. I would also roll the windows down just a bit since the smart glass does not work in sleep mode. And...
I just fixed a large evap leak in a 08 coupe. You can access the fuel pump module and the hoses going to the canister and Leak detection pump through fuel pump access hole above the tank. And you can also see the canister from under the car if you remove the rear diffuser panel and move the heat...
