This is it exactly! My engine is like new and very pristine. The heads of the bolts at the center of the pulleys on the front of the motor just have some light corrosion. The V-10 Monster powerplant is just so beautiful that some nice alloy or other special bolts would really dress things up...
Mileage is crazy! About 100 per year or less. If he drove it monthly, that is what 8-10 miles? Gen IV prices will determine this value: e.g., Gen IV minus 30% or so.
I just take the oil and filter to Jiffy Lube or EZ Lube and pay them about $25 counting tax. The Dealer is about $190 with tax for oil, filter and labor.
I would like to know about this as well. I note that the stock bolts in the center of the pulleys (sp?) on the front of the motor on my '08 are a bit corroded.
One thing I will say, is that the Techs do TRY very hard.
That said, I often have to return several times to get the same thing fixed. And then the Dealer repeatedly calls me to ask how my service visit was? (I duck these calls when possible). I could post stories, but I will just continue...
Smart move for the ZR1 (I will stay off the pilot issue).
ZR1 is currently in production. Better OEM tires cannot but help its time and I do not think it was much behind the Viper with the other tires.
Just like the Viper, the ZR1 is a great car and I am glad they made it. Cockpit...
Funny you mentioned Harbor Freight. I called them and they said that they do not carry anything like that! I didn't check for plastic sleeves.
I know Gorilla Automotive makes "thin wall" protective lug sockets.
Does anyone have any good suggestions for a padded Lug Nut Socket to avoid damaging both the wheel and the lug nut?
I know about painter's tape around the socket and working on the skill of the nut behind the socket!
Thanks for your input.
I paid to have my new HREs synched with the car and for the coolant flush while it was in for minor warranty items.
For oil changes, I usually buy the SRT Mopar filter and Mobil one and take it to a local shop who will change it for a few $$$$.
This morning I dropped by 12,700 mi. 2008 Gen IV to the Dealer to handle a few items and I asked about any scheduled maintenance. One thing the dealer mentioned was a "coolant flush" which is apparently due at 5 years, but he suggested it given the non-daily use of the car and the fact that it...
No problem here with a dual-clutch tranny with auto-mode as well, more air bags (not just gfs!), switchable traction control and nicer interior. However, if performance is not higher than Gen IV (on every single model)and price is no more than very slightly higher than a Gen IV, there will be...
Some Viper improvements are needed, and really overdue (see the "What Must Change" thread). The three biggest issues are: (1) increased performance; (2) increased drivability--e.g. cockpit adjustable suspension, ease of entry, less drive train chunk, shifter/transmission choices, etc. (and as a...
If you are not getting the cars you like, try adding more $$$$ to your offers or go for a Gen III! It is not always easy to get something for nothing... .

The earlier posters are correct: it is very difficult to find good plates in California! I wanted BCH SNAKE but it, and all variations thereof was taken.
It runs about $90 per year here for custom plates.
+1 on Meguires NXT 2.0. My car is a 2008 and garaged so the paint is excellent. There is really no need to use anything other than wax. The only downside is that NXT needs to be applied every 3rd wash or so.
This could be a death penalty case!
Hopefully, there are witnesses and a police report documenting exactly what happened and the police ("POlice" in AL)cited the truck with a violation of the vehicle code.
You should have some type of "prevailing party" attorneys' fees clause in your Mercedes purchase contract you may be able to use against Mercedes for reimbursement. However, since Chrysler is the plaintiff and not a party to your purchase contract, you may need to bring a separate breach of...
NOT a big Halle Barry fan. Hope the car does not look like her as earlier reported.
I must say that this is all a getting a bit silly. Dodge will lose some momentum and likely some sales if they don't start revealing the design and specs.:usa:
Don't have the magazine with me and cannot post photos anyway (user error!).
The C & D photo is the one we have seen which has a prominient Dodge cross hairs grill, Gen IV hood and a bit rectangular, squarish body. No one here liked it before.
The magazine should be on newstands!
