Its been a while since I priced them, but I know back in the day a new T56 wasnt that hard to come by. JonB was selling them for like $1800 - might want to look into that first. Gen 1 engine vs gen 2 engine
The Gen2 has more power/torque, but youll need to define your need for "performance" a little better. The Gen1s were a much more raw car to push to the edge, which is a HUGE benefit to purist drivers, but the the GTS is a more stable and versital racecar thats better suited for a greater range...- Bonkers
