What are the VCA plans for events etc. for 2014?

Gustfront, Don't know you, never met you. You have no idea what my values or character is or what "bunch" I or others fit into. If you did, you would not make such a careless statement. Please don't make these types of statements about me or others that you don't know. Want to discuss...

    Personal VCA Renewal Decision

Brian, Let's start here by speaking to your concerns, recognizing that they are "off the top of your head": 1) Long delays in receiving membership dues….6 months late. There was a delay in 2013. I was the one who mentioned this to all of our presidents during our first round of regional...

    Raffle car

I would guess that some residents of Nebraska bought raffle tickets, but don't personally have time or care to check on this, so buying raffle tickets for an internet sale was apparently not prohibited in Nebraska. I have been told that the State of Nebraska did not allow raffle drawings to...

    Raffle car

Thanks GRANGER73. Agree, should have been cleared up a while back and do think there have been other threads on this subject, but not 100% sure. I delegated this to another and they didn't get it done. No names necessary. I just moved from CA to TX and have been "buried in boxes" and "honey...

    Raffle car

Car has been or should be delivered to the new owner this week. Not tracking it. Many other things to do. Car was released early last week. All other raffle prizes same details. New owner's name in this thread and others. Have asked for pics of new car at his place when he gets around to...

    Apology to Ralph Gilles

ACRucrazy, Sorry I did not notify you that I "un-moderated" you last night after reading your posts. You were the first one I "un-moderated" and I wasn't sure of the procedure. We are a bit short handed right now. On the moderation thing, I was moderated a short time ago after a small group...

    Apology to Ralph Gilles

All, The new board of directors has been "in office" now for 5 working days. Some of the stuff that has happened in the past surprised us to. Some a bunch. Keep an eye on what we do and don't associate us with past issues please. We are focused on the membership, all of us. FYI, I...

    Apology to Ralph Gilles

September 18, 2013 Dear Members and Enthusiasts. Over the past few weeks, the VCA has gone through some turmoil. As you can see, your Board has now agreed to significantly overhaul the VCA Bylaws in order to move the club forward. We would also like to take this opportunity to...

Reached the tipping point: the stock 2013 exhaust interior dB level is unacceptable

Re: Reached the tipping point: the stock 2013 exhaust interior dB level is unacceptab Hey Don, I think I heard that they opened up the cats a bit to ad HP and TQ compared to the Gen IV. If there is room, the exhaust pipes are the same size (2.5 inches) and the hanger locations are the same...

    Rumors...what's the dealio?

This just posted on Jalpnik after a bunch of typical incorrect media assumptions provided by a few: "As a corporate policy, we do not comment on company business. Chrysler Group LLC is fully committed to its SRT and Viper owners and continues to maintain a relationship with them as...

Opinions on New Transmission and Gearing Wanted

Agree win Nine Ball, the 2010 trans with OE rear diff will get you to your objective speed with the least grief and cost and not ruin your cruising speed. With all wide open roads and higher speed limits in Texas, you'll be glad you kept the OE 6th gear if you drive the car long distances...

mounting dimensions GEN4 exhaust tips ona GEN3

I've done this quite a few times. I remove the sill, measure the distance from two reference points, normally the distance from the bottom of the front part of the rear fender to the top of the exhaust tip and the distance from the plastic fender liner to the rear-most part of the exhaust tip...

Opinions on New Transmission and Gearing Wanted

Greg, Didn't know you ran the mile. Maybe we can do that together one day. In your case, I'd go with the 2010 TR6060 trans. You can likely get one for less than the $3K for the rebuild and still have a back up, "just in case". It has a revised 5th gear that will help you reach your goal...

Have the discussions on the VCA site gone to hell?

As several of you guys mention, I often wonder why some guys behave so badly on the interent when compared to how they behave face to face. Just doesn't make sense to me, but it seems to be spreading everywhere these days. That may be part of the reason I'm not on this fourm as much I as I...

Random Tech and Corsa question for a Gen 4

Good change. You will enjoy it and enjoy the additional power with the Corsa on the Gen IV. FYI, the Gen V added HP by changing the cats to flow better. In short, the Gen IV responds well to better exhaust flow.

13" wide for 18" wheel drag radials?

I have about 30K miles on a 900+ rwhp 2004 Viper with 850 rwtq. You have a few choices if you can learn to roll into the throttle. The Nitto NT05's work really well but don't handle well in any kind of "twisties". The Nitto NT555R's work petty well too and handle much better all around...

    First drive this year...

Agree on the ground effects, though I'm not usually a fan. Would suggest a "vert" wing on the back if you plan to run a front splitter that large. The rear end may get light at speed without one. :) Dan

Wear and Tear from Road Racing

Agree with the above. Maintenance is typically "over done" on tracked cars. For example, I change the oil and filter in my track cars every other weekend, which amounts to about every 300 to 400 miles. Brake fluid too. Diff and trans fluid every 4 to 5 weekends. Coolant every year. My Gen...

    Gen 4 intake manifold removal

Agree with the above, one can almost always make their track car better by spending more money on upgraded parts. Somebody once said; "Want to go fast, how much do you want to spend??? That said, how much better? Do you spend 3 or 4 times as much to achieve a 5 to 10% "better" result...

    Gen 4 intake manifold removal

Know the guys at Arrow very well and respect them. If you want to mod / drill your valve covers or swap them then have to deal with smog, or buy another set of valve covers and money is no object, go for it. If you want an effective, simple, proven method that IS reversible in a few minutes...
