Vic very well said. I am waiting for a G-Timer to arrive. I still would like some 1/4 runs at a track if it can be arranged by someone with an SRT-10. Bob S
The Autozone cap CST #5791 does NOT fit!! It is a screw type cap the SRT is a Bayonnet Type. I hope a locking cap becomes available. Let us know please. Bob S
Thanks Jekermode,
I still would like to see a drop in 1/4 mile acceleration times with the Viper Baffle. It would be an inexpensive way improve performance and beat a 911 Turbo evwn will an X50 package on the road ($175 less 15%) I still have Viper Baffle demos available to help get the...
Ben, At our Northeast Zone Rendez-vous we got to do topdown 1/4 mile runs (Raceway Park). In any case, I appreciate your offer. Please give a call today and Sheryl will send out a Viper Baffle. :usa:
Thanbs for your help, Bob S.
Would like to offer SRT-10 drivers going to track doing 1/4 mile runs to compare runs with and without Viper Baffle wind deflector in place (topdown of course.) Coast down runs indicate improvement in aerodynamics. Will gladly supply several demo units for this information...
Jrkermode
I did some testing with "coast down runs" from 70mph and found for a fixed distance:(about 1/4 to 1/3 mile)......speed at end of run
without the Viper Baffle.....................55 mph
with the Viper Baffle..........................63 mph**
windows...
Thanks Jrkermode I think that is a good initial test. I have had the SRT up over 150 with the Viper Baffle in place and I will try to see how the drag is effected with and without the wind blocker and take a 2-way average.(Windows up & down) Good idea-thank you! Bob S :usa:
(I know I...
One of the benefits of a wind deflector on the SRT seems to be an improvement in aerodynamics of the car. If you raise your right hand up by your right ear you will notice it gets blown forward toward the rearview mirror. This backdraft pressure increases progressively with speed from 30 mph...
Re: Why does
Great discussion guys. You are correct about BIAS in jouranlism. You can not believe the LA Times on the left coast, ask Arnold about that. We can not believe the NY Times on the east coast. It is as factual as Pravda was for the USSR.
It is the same for R&T comparing...
This is the best time to enjoy your SRT-10 wide open windows down, top down in total comfort. Use the Viper Baffle to filter out only the "backdraft" wind turbulence. Then the heater can keep the cockpit comfy and you can forego a hat as you enjoy the beautiful foliage. Fall Special $175 less...
See What\'s Behind You -- An SRT-10 Problem is Fixed
What is that vehicle behind you?? The rear view mirror in the SRT-10 shows only the hood & windshield of the car behind you. This is due to the high profile formed by the folded top and the trunk shape.
This problem is easily solved...
So you think it is TOO COOL for that TOPLESS Autumn Cruise? Not so ask our many SRT-10 and RT/10 owners with the VIPER BAFFLE & VISOR EXTENDER. For under $150 & $20 respectively for VCA members only! :usa: Perfected over 12 Years "the Back-Draft Terminator."

Thanks SapphireGTS- We have some early Windbaffles out there used steadily for over 9 years without discoloring or cracking. The MR-Lexan really is incredible.
e have many SL owners from 90' thru 03' who take off the factory mesh unit and have preferentially use our Wind Tamer model. The...
Good question Francisco. I patented the Wind Baffle with a CLEAR plastic,Lexan, panel in 1989. A;long came Windstop w in Germany in 1990 with a dark MESH panel. The BMW and other europeans use the UGLY mesh that bearly does anything because it is porous.
ONLY WIND BAFFLE IN THE GOOD...
Actually, the look is rich and substantial for the Visor Extender and Viper Baffle.
Sorry the photos aren't clear. See the NY/Conn Viper Club for sharper photos.

The Visor Extender and Viper Baffle are NOT made of plexiglas (acrylic), which is easily cracked. We use Lexan (polycarbionate)which is unbreakable and MR coated. It is the same expensive stuff used for race car and jet windshields. It is essentially bullet-resistant. Hope you guys don't need...
With the Autumn chill in the air you will really enjoy this colorful season and your TOPLESS VIPER more. Let the cool air blow over the cockpit with the windows WIDE OPEN! You can even smell the new season. You will love you open-air ride in your Viper even more, so will your co-pilot. Money...
Cut down on cockpit wind turbulence, control cockpit temperature, and reduce wind roar in your ears, just by adding one inexpensive missing piece. For RT/10's: the Visor Extendor. For SRT-10's: the Viper Baffle.

Re: Does Your Wife Say NO!! -- to driving topless
Absolutely it does. With the visors horizontal it deflects wind over the cockpit. Tip the visors fully upward and the air is ducted into the cockpit for a cool breeze. Try it -it's guaranteed. Check out the low price for VCA members...
1. No need to drive alone now Andrew.
2. No Jrkermode keep those windows WIDE-OPEN, the VB just blocks the "backdraft" at all speeds so you can ENJOY the topdown even more!! Guaranteed or your moola back.!! (first we have to chop the top off your terrific GTS however)...
No need to wear a hat! No need to put the top up! No need to wear a jacket! Just enjoy the fall foliage and cooler weather in your RT/10 and SRT-10 with laminar flow in the cockpit. You can even hear your co-pilot. With the Viper Baffle and/or Visor Extender.
