I've posted this experience many times in the forums but I just can't seem to find those posts. But essentially, I agree with Ellow. My experience with lower temp t-stats has shown a few things. Tom (Fluids and Lubes Geek) once wrote that installing a lower temp t-stat, in and of itself, is akin...
Re: Can you get a big brake kit that uses the stock front Gen 2 caliper and SRT rearo
This is a DIY on how to install the big brake kit: http://forums.viperclub.org/threads/598315-Installing-Dave-s-Big-Brake-Kit It illustrates using SRT calipers all around but it'll give you an idea of what...
For starters, open the hood and make certain the engine is there. Then, well there's no easy way to determine if it has the V650 package or not. Many owners got ripped off thinking their vipers were upgraded when they weren't. I'd run away from it.
170 t stat vs 180 really doesnt matter. So with either one. I've used both and cant notice any difference between the two. But make certain you get your PCM tuned via SCT and reprogram the fan turn on temps to turn on at a lower temperature. This with a lower t-stat makes a difference. Airflow...
In 2002 or 2003 BMW issued a recall around a similar issue: the airbags may deploy when starting the car. :omg: For a couple of weeks I was starting the car from the back seat until I got to the dealer. Even scarier to think they can deploy unexpectedly while driving the Viper.
The parts listing for 1999, 2000 shows two part numbers for the oil filter adapter:
04886503AC 1 EWB
04886503AD 1 EWB [ARC]
Let's assume ARC is spelled incorrectly and really should read ACR then it would appear 04886503AD is the correct ACR Oil Filter adapater. This is confusing.
Through my modification journey I've realized that in and of themselves the headers will not make a lot of power. So if you're looking for one brand of header to stand out with a clear and decisive power advantage over another brand you will not find it. Some simply make peak HP/TQ at redline...
Is this annual karting event whereby Tator wins all of the time? That's what he tells us here in NY/CT. He says every year he has to go up to New England to show you guys how a kart works or something to that affect. :D Don't shoot the messenger. :rolaugh:

I find it interesting that those mocking the GenV will never be able to drive it to its' limits to begin with. Very few people around here can do that. It comes down to bench racing with trolls in most cases. I do look forwarding to reading your assesment of the GenV Jack. You are one of a...
One of my foglights has a cracked cover. Looking for something reasonable myself. I dont believe the lens is sold seperately. Not a big deal but eventually I want to fix the foglight.
Dental floss and a hair dryer. Warm up the emblem with the hair dryer then work the floss behind the letters. Been there done that. There's paint underneath.

It's talked about all over site going back to the year 2000, lol. Problem is it's all over the site and not categorized. But the search feature is your friend once you know how to use it.
I agree with you Bill. This is no small accomplishement and the fact that SRT is on top of this should help ease some of the concerns out there. Until there's some experience working with these techs, however, there will be a level of uncertainty from viper owners. I hope that IF there's an...
