At the nationa meeting in Detroit we were told that badges get ordered in bulk (better savings) and to expect them in late Feb. If I'm mistaken, I'm sure Mary will correct me here. :)
Whether or not we agree with the Motor Trend test results this review has unfortunately evolved into full-fledged advertising for the ZR1 and for the wrong reasons. I'm not sure what the exact expectations from SRT were for the GenV when they sent it out for magazine review/testing. There was...
Sounds good Bill. Another idea would be for Pirelli to donate a bunch of sets to VCA members to try out and post about it on the forums. Maybe some real-world experience in the hands of GenV owners may help folks overcome the price tag.
Good point on warming up the fluid I always warm up the diff before draining, makes it drain faster. I usually go for short drive before changing the diff fluid.
Try the Mityvac. I used itit to drain my differential before I installed a diff drain plug. As for refilling the diff, I use a piece of plastic tubing (1/2" diameter I believe) and a funnel. I run the tube into the diff fill hole, up and over the wheel well. Using a funnel, I first fill with the...
I just don't see a Supercharged V10 getting done by anyone at Chrysler be it Mopar or SRT at this stage for the GenV. Think about it for a moment....the GenV (as with all previous generations) is not a mass production Viper. Out of say 3,000 GenV's that may be sold, if 10% wanted a supercharger...
I believe this was Synergy's old Viper. More info here: http://forums.viperclub.org/threads/647575-And-now......Nick Nick is a big guy (I wouldn't mess with him :D) so it amazes me he walked away unharmed from this.
That's awful. Glad to hear you and your wife weren't home when this happened and that you're both OK. I'm sure your local police are probably giving you tips on how to secure your home. For security reasons, I don't publish what I have for security, but a multi-faceted security system with no...
I was reflecting back on the presentation that was given by SRT and recalled that the cylinder heads and intake were reworked to optimize airflow from the restrictor plates. Hope this helps.
I think the fact that noody has posted their experience with these headers on this forum speaks volumes. I suspect folks did indeed try these headers and had bad results and perhaps were too ashamed to post the experience. There was a local Viper owner nearby who installed these OBX headers on...
They told us that they will setup as many corrals as possible this year. Amanda from marketing told us they're reviewing the race schedule and looking at which tracks to coordinate with. I'd be surprised if there wasn't a corral for Sebring.
SRT gave us a presentation at the presidents' meeting last week on what team viper has been working on and testing at Sebring. They stated that the cylinder heads and intake have been reworked. They gave no specifics on what that work entailed other than to increase performance. They also...
