All of the cars out there making the big power running the mile (and even the 1/4 mile) use a 3.07 w/ a 28" rear tire (or bigger if they can!). for 5th gear, those who get transmissions w/ stronger 5th and 6th gears go with the .8 and the .63 for 5th and 6th. that also changes the top end top...
That was Jamie's car... Boost Almighty bought it and I thought it was sold to a UGR customer who wanted a rolling chassis. But Chris is selling it! Odd...
Chris is a good guy, but he owned it for like 4 weeks (and it was blown when he bought it).
Fuel injector connectors and plug wires are like a monitor and a modem... not really related. any idea what the root-cause of the problem was? Or do you just know that when you changed both that the problems went away?

there is a link in here (VCA) somewhere with all the specs. but the short answer is yes, by a little. the '708 cam' that was OEM in the 98/99 is a rabbit's-hair more aggressive than the 96/97 which is still considered aggressive. I'm sure someone will pipe up and correct me on the fine details...
Not to hijack, but how do you come to this conclusion? I hear rumors about this all the time but i've read conflicting reports in books. my personal experience has been that non stock gears tend to show lower HP on the dyno... but according to the dyno manual AND some dyno operators, it...
More like 650-680rwhp. It will take the 'perfect' build to get you over 700. some have done it, but very few. even with water/meth and an uber-tuner (like PBJ), it will take some significant 'effort' to get over 700 on that setup as described.
AVERAGE is closer to 650 in this set-up...
1 - it is normal. 2 - call DC performance, give them the info and, if possible, what RPM and boost it is happening at. AND, if you happen to have a graph of your air/fuel, send that too. then they can fix it.
Not trying to take business away from Woodhouse, but if you want a RLTC system, you can buy mine CHEAP. The RL TC system is sorta a 'hack' for the viper. it works based on a fuel-cut system (spark cut doesn't work on the vipers). and the unit you need is the TC-8 which hooks into 8 of your...
y'all act like this is something new. it has always been 'restricted' on this site. then someone will talk about how it is dangerous... then someone will jump on them for being holier-than-thou. then 'you've never gotten on your car on the highway' or 'you've never driven over the speed...
easiest thing to do is to swap one of the relays that you know works (such as the ASD) with the fan relay. the _other_ thing you can do is to pull the 3-prong connector on the radiator fan (this is the one that often gets dirty and needs to be cleaned with contact cleaner and then re-inserted...
How do you figure? I used to trap 110 in the 1/ 8 and 140 in the 1/4 w/ 850rwhp on a blower car (16psi). if he's running 107 and 138 with less power (11psi), that should be in-line, yah?
The noise comes from the wires crossing (like in ghost-busters... 'don't cross the stream!'). so if you spread them out and a tad you will be in good shape.
or if you post a pic of your coil packs w/ the wire routing i can probably point to the one that is trouble.
Good luck!

I have run several track days w/ my strikers and never had any overheating issues. and that is with a TT setup. i'm not sure what your set-up is but i think your results are atypical.
One thing I wanted to clarify while I'm here: The strikers are a ported head. they are a new casting and...
I'm sure i will someday. i just don't have a need to take the car apart right now. When I do, though, i'll be pulling those puppies and sending them to Greg. Maybe in the winter just to refresh stuff. It doesn't take long but I do need the space...

the only issue w/ the BMR piece is that the loop is soooo far to the front that if the shaft drops, it can still catch things like the frame. if someone has a pic of how they resolved this, i'd love to see one as i'm trying to work it out with mine right now just to be safe.
Just to clarify - the striker heads are NOT ported. They are a new casting . they are CNC machined. One can get striker heads ported. and if one has high air flow demands then one should. but comparing strikers to ported stock heads is like comparing apples to orange juice.
So in order of...
