    Happy Holidays to the Membership

All snugly nestled on the limbs of the tree with visions of cool Viper bits for you and for me. May good fortune and blessings close out 2010 and extend beyond 2011 for all. Peace.:2tu:

    Caught on Candid Camera

A rail-buff friend of mine sent me this link to a rail fan photography site, and there I was... RailPictures.Net Photo: CDTX 2007 Amtrak California EMD F59PHI at Oakland, California by Steven M. Welch Someone took this candid of me in the GTS cruising through Jack London Square, Oakland...

    New Tires

I have late set of Pilots that are non runflat (same tread pattern) They have given few surprises and seem to be a decent tire. Does anyone have these, and how would you compare them to the tires mentioned?

    well, finally found one........

Wow! that is an awesome deal/steal. Congrats on the excellent color too.:2tu: Is there an issue with getting to the oil filters? I had the recall done some time ago and no issues. :dunno:

Looked like big fun to me. Thanks for sharing.:drive::2tu:

    Sagging pockets

I used to keep extra shades in it until a pair ended up in the rear compartment during a hard pull. I was in awe...

    Sagging pockets

I was just looking at mine today and thinking the same thing. My take is that a trip to the fabric store will produce similar elastic; its just a matter of some snipping and sewing. If I get an extra moment for this job I will post pictures of the fixed pocket. Industrious women used to do...

Do you notice any difference in shift accuracy? What generation Viper?

    Bummer

I bought my Viper early while my teen aged sons were at home and we could all play together one last time under the same roof. Invest outside of the retail car market if you want to build wealth. Buy a used car to drive....:drive:, unless it is some rare Ferrari, Bugatti, or something or...

Keeping new Viper owners SAFE - a How To:

All of the above is correct and prudent. We would hate to make people think that these cars are unsafe. Any motor vehicle in the hands of a fool, is dangerous. Anything that you strap yourself into, that has padding and airbags inside implies that risk is involved, especially if it looks like...

    GoJo or hell no.

I do both my own work and use a shop when it is an emergency or when I am either feeling lazy, or don't have the time. I always do a full post work inspection, as shops seem to commonly miss some things.

    Gen V Viper Logo pics...

Kind of a War of the Worlds effect. Its cool, but I thought Sneaky Pete truly said Viper. How do you remember a logo that changes too much to be an Icon?

The right way to film a burnout.

As a Viper owner, I approve of that message.

    Cool Viper encounter

It is amazing how rare it is to encounter another Viper while driving the Viper. It has only happened to me a few times, and I have always been foiled by traffic, or the other Viper is going the other way and you know the odds of catching up...:drive: On my last encounter, I was sitting at a...

Tired of exhaust drone giving you headaches? This may fix it....

Well, I went over to my local muffler shop and had a 3" pipe X-over pipe put in just like the picture. I am very pleased with the sound, even though it is audibly quieter. Most of the cabin drone has been reduced to a refined version of its former self. It may be my imagination, but I might...

Hi, my name is Dan and I am a caraholic

Like I've said here before, my bling for bling program has worked wonders. Go with her to get something she really likes of comparable cost or impact. She might even start looking at car catalogs for you...:lmao:

rims got a few bites tonight.

I solved that problem long ago, when I kicked off the "Bling for Bling" initiative. Jewels for the car=jewels and the like for the wife; it works wonders. The possibilities are only tempered by the pocketbook, and the program flows goes both ways. She loves my car even though its too loud for...

    Upper radiator hose leak

Get a new hose. A pin hole leak means probable deterioration within the hose, unless it was caused by some sort of puncture. Don't play around when it comes to keeping a Viper cool.

    Oil Dripping from A/C Compressor?

After a long underbody inspection and cleaning, which was way more interesting than just finding the oil leak, I started the engine and activated the a/c. Oil was seeping from the joint between the compressor halves, as well as a small amount from my freshly installed O-rings. (strange) Is...

    Oil Dripping from A/C Compressor?

It is definitely not blow by, as it is limited to the area around the a/c compressor. There is oil on the top of the frame and it increases with the pump activated. I like the idea of the shaft seal causing the issue. I will jack it up and put some light on the subject. I suppose that a new...

    Oil Dripping from A/C Compressor?

So, I had the GTS out for some summer fun, only to notice that some fluid was dripping from under the driver's side. Sniff and paper towel test revealed that it is not: brake, pwr. steering, or engine oil. The oil is clear and smells like somewhat like brake fluid. I was running the A/C and it...

    They totaled my Viper today

They have to make this right--period. Un-friggin-believable... We should invent some sort of code activated power limiter that keeps morons from accessing the raw potential of our Vipers. This just shouldn't happen.

New Asanti 20" Front 22" Rear Wheels Pics

I understand that the Viper is a daring design in and of itself, and needs little in the way of enhancements to make it stand out. After reviewing thousands of pictures of these cars over the years, it seems to be a tall order improving the design with paints and wheels. Anything done beyond...

New Asanti 20" Front 22" Rear Wheels Pics

Sheesh...such conformity minded membership... Unless the critics would be willing to pay the man's Viper costs, he can do whatever he wants with it. It is his dime in a free country. Not my cup of tea, but hey, whatever floats your boat. In the end the Viper is a car, not a religion, though...
