I give up... I will fall into line and recite every morning "my Viper is the fastest car ever made". That should make me fit in better here. I noticed that Lee and sween have both ignored Hirohawa comments from the most recent gospel of Motor Trend about the Z06 times at the ring. I am also...
Re: New 14\'\' SRT-10 Breaks (pics)
His car looks like it's black so most likely a 99 or 00. I just spoke to Roe about this kit, you were the first one. I may order it myself.
Again this has nothing to do with brand loyalty! I bought the damn Viper!
October's Motor Trend will have a piece on the testing of the Z06. We can discuss this in a few weeks when it hits the stands.
After all the crap that has been printed in R&T & Motortrend, no I don't always...
Still want to discuss that reliable information you received? Hirohawa's post sounds a lot like my first post.
Dave Hill & Harlan Charles vs. unnamed group of "bystanders". You should write for the Enquirer.
The 2006 Z06 curb weight is 3130 or 280 lbs. lighter than the new Viper coupe.
The brake set up is also pretty neat: 14-inch cross-drilled front disc brakes with six-piston calipers. 13.4 in the back.
The Gas Guzzler is part of the price, not an add on. I was quoted 76,375 for a new 2005 Mamba here in Chicago. I would not pay over that for an 2006. The Mamba option adds a few thousand.
The worst is the 99 Silver & Blue ACR that showed up on Ebay yesterday. I have been looking for this exact car for a while now and the first one I have seen in a year had 89k miles on it and is covered in stickers and neon blue lights.
Not that it's much help but I was able to see a Silver SRT with chrome Star Tech wheels and a twin turbo system last week at SVS. Great looking car and goes like a bat outta hell. The silver is probably my favorite color on the SRT.
Another interesting point is that the new Z06 is the first 500hp car not to be subject to the Federal Gas Guzzler Tax of $3k. The mpg estimates are 16/27. The traction control will make a big difference in this car as well.
If you plan on installing the Corsa get the Hi Flow cats. When I bought my car the previous owner had done the Corsa but left the stock cats. The car sounded miserable. The cats make a difference but the car is far from loud in my opinion. It also gives the car more of a rumble.
Price wise others probably could be more helpful but for a Graphite car in good condition with those miles the price is right, even a tad low. Check the side sills for yellowing, under the front fascia for scrapes and the side bolsters. I would have a qualified mechanic take a look as well...
I hate to keep this thread going especially since I started the last one but my main concern is will DC up the HP to stay on top or simply stop putting money into the Viper program. I would like to buy a new coupe but everyone here keeps saying that DC will up the HP dramatically next year or...
