Is there a solution to changing the angle of the gas pedal?
I realize the reason for the offset angle but feel I could heel/toe better (like I can in my SRT) if it were parallel with the other pedals.
Perhaps just bending it with a pipe wrench...just seems a little crude.
Stout1,
I am not happy about your being ticketed for the accident, even if the other guy was too.
This reflects the fact that the cop was too lazy to find out the facts and just gave the both of you equal share in the blame.
If Louisianna is a no-fault state it may not matter. But if it isn't...
Re: Hey DC, the Viper crowd likes this...
I too love the CC.
Notice there is no rear bumper on the CC...not necessary on a track only car but necessary on a street car.
This lack of a rear bumper is a large part of the attractivness of the CC.
Hence the butt ugly rear bumper on the VOI...
Don't forget too that a lighter flywheel SHOULD decrease stopping distances since we also slow the mass of the flywheel in this process (assuming the clutch is engaged until downshifting).
The equivalent chassis weight reduction is however dependent upon the gearing with the greatest effect seen in first gear (this is because the flywheel makes more revolutions for each wheel revolution).
The difference in the equivalent chassis weight reduction between 1st and 5th gears is on...
It's only worth it if you think weight reduction is important for performance (I'm speaking of the equivalent static weight Tom refers to above).
I noticed a difference by SOTP with my RPS flywheel on the GTS at the track.
If it's DC's intention to kill the Viper, this coupe will make it a self fulfilling prophesy.
Sales will be poor and DC will say there is no market for such a car and that will be it.
I'm not sure it will ever sell for list.
Remember, it will only be built for 2 years (so Ford says).
It will stay in collector's hands for a while before they try to flip it...
But if it ever sells for MSRP I'm in.
Good information Tom.
I wasn't aware of the heat soak problem with the brake fluid.
With the brake fluid recirculator system I have, it means I'll want to pump the brakes a little after I stop for a few minutes
Re: Ford GT is all that it\'s cracked up to be
Let's see what else surfaces when owners start taking them to the track!
I suspect though that most will sit in the garage.
I'm surprised that most of the cars are still in dealer hands.
I guess many people are reluctant to pay $150K over...
OK, perhaps they have this info on the LOCTITE site but the colors are starting to get a little much.
Red, blue, green and I don't know what else...then you can combine these to get other shades.
Is it just a matter of how tight it locks the threads?
What's the order of these colors from...
Re:
I can't see myself getting the ZO6 with same HP as the Viper.
Sure, it may be a little lighter and perhaps therefore a touch quicker but that wouldn't be enough for me. It won't brake as well as the SRT so I'm not sure it would be faster on a road course anyway.
Now, if they make the Blue...
Get the 6 point TeamTechs from Jon B.
Follow the directions in the How To section as suggested but make the holes bigger than suggested...especially wider and also a little longer. The belts are easier to adjust that way.
Don't worry about making the holes...you will make more when you install...
On a road course, the Gen II's at least tend to understeer (push) when cornering. You can certainly use the throttle to bring the rear around if you want but I prefer a car more under control.
Woodhouse (and others I presume) sell an adjustable front sway bar which allows you to soften the...
Re: How Much Are Greg Good\'s Heads?
Greg,
I couldn't get to Woodhouse to see the heads in person (they're a few hours away) but they're taking digital photos for me.
At the moment they're doing their own flow testing prior to installing them...it's good they're evaluating them so they'll...
