Carl, A Lot :D won't have a final price until I get the rears done, and take brackets to a cnc place to price out. A SWAG would be around $3200/3400 for ALL 4 WHEELS :2tu: :2tu: :usa: :D Which will be new OEM SRT Calipers(made by Brembo)/Rotors 14"/pads/Master cylinder/mounting brackets/ misc bolts etc. Stop Tech $5700/Brembo $7600/SnakeOyl $8700

Questions:

Will the first kit option mentioned in the other thread enable ABS on a pre-2001 Viper?

Will you be able to revert to stock if desired or is there cutting required that would reasonably preclude?

Would the rear kit support the GENIII parking brake option if desired?

Nice job.....

on a year 2001 acr that has abs from the factory will you have to change the master cylinder in order to do the srt-10 brakes both front and rear? also what about brake biasing and proportion valves? lastly what do u guys do for an emergency brake setup?

Re: Gen3 Brakes for Gen2 cars front bracket complete Pic\'s

There is no cutting required so far, if you don't have ABS then there is no ABS. Brake biasing on ABS cars is controlled by the ABS, Non ABS cars will need a prop Valve.
If you want a p/b there are other kits that will work. I'm not planning on a p/b.
Haven't worked on the M/C yet, Will try without first, then add the SRT m/c. Can't do anything until the brackets are done. I'll start on the rear bracket after the holidays.
Thanks for the comments. :usa: :2tu:

I think you're headed for an insufficient fluid displacement problem if you keep the Gen 2 MC. It might work OK until you get some pad wear, or might not.

Good luck!

Well, I thought I could reclock the rears without cutting off the mounting pads, but no such luck :( I'm doing a mockup on the new rear bracket now :2tu: , but will take awhile. Front brackets go the CNC shop after the holidays, with testing to follow with new billet brackets.
Merry Xmas everyone :usa:

Dean, you can upgrade the 2000 and older cars with the 2001 and up Master Cylinders. Its pretty easy (I did) and you do get a little more volume. Only thing that is required is routing the lines to the outside - the 2000 and earlier cars were facing the headers. I think because of the ABS hardware.

GTS DEAN, Your on the right track on the m/c, I just want to do one step at a time. By the looks of it, it will have to have more volumne.
Have to do small adjustments on the front brackets, to much outside clearance, moving caliper mounting holes in about .030 to have better wheel clearance.
It's coming along really good,(and the final price will be really good to))

Re: Gen3 Brakes for Gen2 cars front bracket complete Pic\'s

Tomorrow is wheel day :2tu: Will be doing final wheel clearances on a stock 18", a ACR, and a CCW. I moved the caliper in by .030 and it really looks good.
I'll take some pic's when doing the wheel fits :usa: Going to have cool brakes that say VIPER :D , not some after market deal, this kit will be all OEM except for the mounting brackets
Stay tuned for a NON VIPER TAX added product :D :D  :usa: :2tu:

Rear brackets are being started next week, after front brackets go to the CNC place to be made in 7075 Billet. Front brake testing will begin when new brackets come back from the CNC place.

Here's pic's from wheel day,Stock 18" won't fit without a 1/8"spacer, but the 18"ACR fits perfectly.

I run spacers street and track, so there aren't any problem there. I'll get bids on 1/8" spacers this week when I take the front brackets to the CNC place. :usa: :2tu:

Any performance numbers? Even seat of the pants? Pedal feel?
Which stainless steel lines do you use?

Re: Gen3 Brakes for Gen2 cars front bracket complete Pic\'s

Haven't tried a 17" yet, 18" CCW don't fit without a spacer.

Haven't done any testing yet, waiting for the front brackets from the cnc shop to get completed, using 7075 T6 Billet.

Working on rear bracket now, more info when the mockup is completed. :usa:
