Viper SRT 10 Videos - SRT Track Experience at VIR

Looks like a fun time, drifting around the track. I have to agree with Tom (who knows a few things about track safety). If the vert goes over, you would be unlikely to get away without life threatening injuries (or worse)... and I am a DOCTOR.

Orange Coast Dodge won't repair $1400 scratch

Re: Orange Coast Dodge won\'t repair $1400 scratch That's why I change the oil on my cars as well. Some of my acquaintances don't seem to understand why I do it myself...

What's a good street/track alignment to reduce understeer for my '06 Coupe?

Re: What\'s a good street/track alignment to reduce understeer for my \'06 Coupe? If you want to minimize understeer you have to play with spring rate (higher in rear) and sway bar (softer in front). You can also stiffen the dampers in the front to slow down the weight transfer that occurs when...

Wanna hear sumthin cool? (NayKid Racing at SCCA Runoffs)

Re: Wanna hear sumthin cool? A brake fluid recirculating valve would also cure the brake fluid boiling problem... probably not allowed in T1 either.

    Last year for Dodge/Skip Barber

I did the 3 day Panoz (racing) school at Sebring... great school although a few of the cars were a bit in disrepair.

I love the color as much now as when I got the car in April. I get many more remarks about the car than when I had the silver SRT-10.

World Challenge Finale at Laguna Seca.

Congrats to a very good year for the vipers but special congrats to Bob Woodhouse and his team. A 7th place finish for the season is outstanding! I hope he comes back for more next year along with the other viper teams.

Wanna hear sumthin cool? (NayKid Racing at SCCA Runoffs)

Re: Wanna hear sumthin cool? I was at the race and it sure looked like Cindi's tires were gone near the end because the eventual winner caught up to her in a hurry and her car looked really "squirrelly" through the turns. Perhaps she just used them up a little too much in the beginning getting...

Viper in latest issue of Car and Driver . . .

I read the article and interpreted the comments to suggest you can give the viper even more power and hustle it faster still around the track whereas the ZO6 is a handful as is. In other words there is some "excess handling capacity" engineered into the viper and the vette is tapped out in this...

    Cash Sale Advice

Speaking of fraudulent checks, what's the quickest way to determine if a bank check (cashier's check) is fraudulent? I have bought and sold cars with these (on both ends).

    B&M Shifter Question

I have the B&M in my GTS and it lowers the overall height. You will want to check out the shifter height with the old knob first after installing the B&M (before also adding a shorter knob). You may have to use 2 hands to put it in reverse (less leverage).

Replacing Brake Pads......Have a couple of questions.

You remove the rear ROTORS to replace the pads. The rotor slides out after you remove the old pads. Then you put the rotors back in after you screw the pistons in and before the new pads.

The key here is whether the officer (let's not use derogatory terms, most do their jobs very well) identified himself before shooting. If not, the cop is in trouble. It's certainly understandable why a cop in pursuit of a perp might be on edge, filled with adrenaline, but being able to keep...

Do you have any more information on his condition? If he doesn't make it, we'll never know the whole story. For all we know, Swofford was just on his property, perhaps he heard some commotion and went out to check it out ON HIS OWN PROPERTY which is his right. Maybe he had his handgun on him...

    Speedworld Challenge / ABS

It was great to watch the power of the Vipers on the straights. Imagine if Archer did not have to keep recycling the computer, he looked strong enough to win it. I just hope they don't restrict the Viper engines any more since they've looked so strong of late... you know the Chevy boys are...
