Re: Anyone running a 20
What size and type of tires are you running with those wheels?
The stock rear tire 345/30 - 19 is 68.96 cm in diameter. The 335/30 - 20 PS2 is 70.90 cm in diameter. 1.94 cm or 3/4 inch increase in diameter. 2.81% increase in diameter.
It won't look that bad. I think if...
The H-Man runs 335/30 - 20 PS2's on his 1000 HP Viper SRT-10 and he hits the best slalom and hits over 200 mph at Road & Track test on the PS2's.
With the plans I have for my 2005 SRT-10, I will need all the traction I can get. I can pretty much run my Viper close to its limits but I'll...
Re: Anyone running a 20\" in the rear?
This is very interesting here. I am about to buy 20" wheels with 335/30 - 20 PS2's.
You said you don't like the height. Is is higher, lower? Can you please post or e-mail me a picture with the 20" wheel & tire on the car?
Did you take it out for a...
Did you write that review at Tirerack ? ;)
My concern with the Kumho V700's is they are W speed rated not Z or Y. That means these tires are rated for 168 mph top speed and I plan to hit speeds well over 168 mph.
I've already hit 180 mph in my 05 SRT-10 stock... :headbang: :headbang...
Well, unfortunately I don't have a chance to try all the tires on a SRT-10 both track and street and then decide which tire to buy. I wish I could do that. The only reference I have is what people using them have said about these tires.
For example, Kai SRT-10 uses the Sport Cups on the track...
I've heard the Michelin Sport Cups have to be warmed up to start gripping. On the street, you never heat these tires to their optimum level. Heck, it even takes 1-2 laps to heat them up on the track. So, on the street, they are slippery... More slippery than the stock tires.
Yokohoma Advan...
How come? You are still here...
Going back to the topic, Active Stability Control is a necessity today in high HP & TQ cars. You can control a 8500 rpm F360 with the low TQ but it takes some talent to control the monster TQ of the 8.3L V10. DC will eventually put Stability Control in VIper...
You don't need to be embarrassed Sore-thong. There are a lot of nutswingers like you out there. But you are something, huh?
Next time you go to Power Exchange. Ask for "The Machine". They will bring you to me.
You can't see much thinking nut swinger cause you don't have enough brain cells to interpret what you see.
Hey, we want to be different right. Stand out from the crowd right. That's the reason I'm typing in bold.... :D Well, actually it is easier to read bold letters in internet explorer on...
Chuck, DC needs to build a black Comp Coupe for you. Oh wait. There's already one that you can buy right now. ;) ;) Stop typing in this thread and go buy Jerry's cc. :2tu:
If Viper wants to compete against European and American exotics, the leauge requires high-tech gadgets and azz...
It is NOT a delicate subject. It is a very valid request. All high HP & TQ exotic cars have ABS and Traction control these days and DC will put traction control in Viper sooner or later like they did with the ABS.
It is just that there are narrowminded people in the Viper community who...
No Chuck. I totally understand the Viper ardor and I'm proud to own a 2005 SRT-10.
I just have a different opinion than yours on this subject. Is it ok? Can I have a Viper and have different opinion than yours? Am I allowed to say what I think? Or should I just turn in my Viper back to the...
When I got in my Z06 and said "Traction Off", my Z06 turned it off automatically. :D :D
What's wrong with "manually" pressing a button right next to you on the armrest?
Actually when you press the "Active Stability Control" button on the 2002-Up Z06's it will turn all traction control off...
Well if you "don't want some piece of electronics telling us how far we can hang the back end out while going around a corner", you simply turn it off.
And if I want each tire to be braked independently by a computer that processes million readings from million sensors in miliseconds going...
