That’s what we did Chuck. We went zero rear camber and the BFG drag radials held up ok after dropping the pressure to 10 psi and warming them up good. This was for drag racing. I drove the car back from track after getting the pressure up to 28 psi but it was a scary ride.
I’m using the same...
We altered the suspension setup on the 1200 RWHP TT Viper for a race last Sunday but it didn’t help at all. The car drives very scary with BFG Drag Radials now.
It has Moton Clubsports with 700 lb/in front and 900 lb/in rear Eibach springs.
I’ll go back to the Sport Cups. What suspension...
Well I bought my Viper to turn it into a 1200 RWHP beast. Porsche and Ferrari weren’t options and Corvette didn’t have the cubic inches I wanted. Again, I don’t represent the majority here. Majority buys the Vipers because they want to enjoy a real sports car, not a grand tourismo.
My point is...
Well the current Formula 1 cars have Traction Control and they’ve had it since 2003 if I’m not mistaken.
But that’s not the point. The point is if the regulations allow them, all the Formula 1 cars will be equipped with Traction Control. Is that because Michael Schumacher, Alonso, Raikkonen...
Viper is a very tricky car to drive. No questions about that. Short wheelbase, high torque at low rpms and inadequate stock tires make the Viper experience challenging, fun, but scary for most of us. (That’s why the Comp Coupe has a longer wheelbase btw.)
It’s unrealistic to consider every...
GEN3 Vipers have a hydraulic fan. A very good performing fan indeed.
The DC programming does not adjust the hydraulic fan.
Only the colder thermostat makes your can turn on the hydraulic fan sooner and therefore operate cooler.
Re: VIPER D\'S WINTER PROJECT BEGINS TODAY (PICS)
Now that you’re selling your Viper, I thought I’d bump this thread up as nostalgia…
Good luck with the sale D.
Hoosier A6 345/30 - 19
Hoosier R6 345/30 – 19
Pirelli P-Zero Corsa 345/35 – 19
All of them sticky competition type tires that will fit on stock 19x13 rear wheel. P-Zero Corsa is more suitable for highway usage. Hoosiers are more delicate tires on the street / highway.
Interesting. I might give the Hoosier A6 or R6’s a try once I’m done with the sport cups. :2tu: :2tu:
I just need to see how they’ll handle 1200 RWHP.
It’d be interesting to see how many miles you will get from the A6’s and what problems you’ll have driving those tires on the street...
Congrats on your DLM beast. If you’re going to supercharge your SRT, Doug Levin is the man.
I would like to hear more about the Hoosier A6 tires you have on your SRT-C.
Why did you choose the Autocross type A6 tires instead of the Road race type R6 tires?
Are you running the Hoosier A6’s on...
I have the tool but don’t have the balls...
Seriously, there are TT Vipers out there pushing 1200 – 1500 RWHP (1400 – 1760 HP) but aerodynamics will be a major factor in hitting 250 + mph.
I have the Stewart Warner 2-1/16" Gauge Ultra-Shift Light with Red LEDs and Silver Bezel and it works great.

First, go to membership section, fill in the form and send it in with the payment.
Then, go buy a Red 06 Viper cheap.
Put on white stripes.
Change the tires and wheels. You may go with the 08 Viper style wheels or others but definitely ditch the stock tires.
Install a Paxton kit, headers, RT...
Thanks man.
I need the Engine Serial Number.
I guess I can’t find the engine serial number without lifting the car.
It’s pretty damn impossible to see from the top.
:usa: :usa:
Is there a way to find the engine serial number on my 2005 Viper SRT-10 online using the VIN number?
I believe it’s printed on the passenger side of the block but I can’t see it.
Thanks.
:usa: :usa:
Actually all this time I’ve agreed with half of what you said.
I am saying that the higher exhaust flow due to eliminating the cats and/or installing high flow headers will lean the engine and therefore cause an increase in the a/f ratio.
I guess we are on the same page here.
But where I...
Actually, there is good information here about how running catless and/or with high flow headers affects the car, a/f ratio, tune, etc.
I still think "Any otherwise stock SRT-10 with cat deletion or high flow headers will run rich unless the ECU is tuned."
I might be wrong but I'll need some...
We already have one Viper owner saying that his car was running rich on the dyno after cat deletion and race exhaust with no tuning.
You don’t have to agree with me. Just believe in the dyno.
Put any otherwise stock SRT-10 with cat deletion, race exhaust and/or high flow headers on the dyno...
