I hope I'm not throwing out a false pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. It's just that 96 and later Chrysler PCM's allowed a few special functions with oem or higher end scan tools. Weather the Viper platform has these 'variable parameters' or not, I don't know.
The only way to know for sure...
I will gladly pay you Tuesday, for the price of a Gen V Viper today. :D
............Gen V's that have been driven may only be worth 50k,
as my gen III is only worth 5 bucks.
When I find the 50k gen V, I will likely buy it......if it hasn't been wrecked too bad.
It's the gen I Vipers that require the speedo calibration box outside the pcm, right?
Those were Chrysler SMEC.
SMEC had no access to change anything via scan tool.
Hmm, Gen II Vipers should be using some form of Chrysler SBEC controller if I'm not mistaken.
If I remember correctly, The SBEC has a function that can be accessed with a scan tool to change the parameter for speedo calibration.
It's called 'pinion factor' in the menu.
Been a long time since I...
The current best offering is probably the Pilot Super Sport.
If I drove on the street all the time, that would be my choice.
I haven't tried them because I stopped street driving my car before Michelin came out with them.
For some odd reason, they don't offer the rear size for my C6 Corvette...
Yes. But try to explain that to the op.
He says old runflats are perfectly fine. :smirk:
-I didn't like my oem runflats when they were new. :crazy2:
No, the tires are perfectly fine for any type of use on anybody's car. Completely safe, and no reason not to let them go to waste.
Besides that, old hard runflats will make any Viper feel great. -I remember how they felt when I got my car (came on it new when I drove it of the lot), I miss them...
Would all this be a good excuse for not pulling over for the cops?
"Sorry officer, I didn't see you because you must have been in the huge blind spot."
......."The helicopters and roadblocks were easy to see though"
;)
Heading up to High Plains Raceway June 28/29 for two different club HPDE's. :drive:
.......need to detail the car first, as you never know when you might end up on You Tube. :D
At some point I may have to get my own video gear, just seems like kind of a hassle though.
And what do...
....................to whom ever buys those and puts them on their car.
Use at your own risk.
Not safe for any kind of 'fun driving'.
Would be OK for any 'regular driving', like you would do in a Camry.
-but if you are driving like that, why do you have a Viper?
One of my customers likes to plant stuff and garden as a hobby. He lives out in the country. Has a problem with rabbits, ground hogs and other rodents chewing on the roots.
He takes all my old used Viper tires, digs a large hole, puts the tire in, then plants inside the tires. Can't see the...
NAPA has a listing for them now. Manufacturer is SKF.
I replaced both my rear hubs last season, shopped around and found those. Don't remember the pricing, but they were less than the dealer.
How does this guy get people to send him money all the time? :dunno:
He is a true master of lies and deception.
.............maybe he could be the next president. :lmao:
The IRS would become the primary part of executive actions. :rolaugh:
-collecting money from everyone and giving...
OP, As a Viper owner, just remember this.......
When driving your Viper, Watch out for cops. ;)
When posting video of you driving the Viper on the forums, watch out for cops. :smirk:
Who is gonna buy a 2015?
It seems anybody up for a gen V already got one. Are they willing to take the depreciation hit so soon to trade up to have the latest version of the same car?
There are still 2013's on the lots.
I am interested in the idea of Stryker Purple, but not enough to drop 100k...
I don't think street racing is a good idea, or safe. :nono:
But I don't think it's bad to open the car up a little now and then when there's no traffic on a clear road. ;)
You just have to watch out for cops. :crazy2:
I think the most plain silver verts were 2003-2005 models.
Probably not too many gen III cars out there that still have that stupid exhaust crossover on them.
....Doesn't somebody here have a silver vert for sale on another thread?
Mopar Steve, I think..........?
Need to remove the uneven brake pad transfer layer, then re-bed.
I think the best method would be to remove the rotors from the car, and get busy with the sandpaper.
Non-directional, even as possible. -Think of it as a Karate lesson,.... sand the rotor. ....both sides.
Spray them off with brake...
