    SO What you say? We (N.Calif. VCA) have had driving schools managed by the SCCA. The instructors were National Champions in Corvettes. We let a few of them try out the Vipers and they were spinning like tops! You can buy a book about performance driving and it can explain everything there...

    I need you e-mails supporting the continuation of Dodge-Skip Barber programs. Viper owners and the VCA has a lot to lose if Dodge follows through with their plan to discontinue this relationship.

    Skip Barber has a one day school that runs Porshe, BMW and Viper http://www.skipbarber.com/driving_school/one_day_hp_school.aspx This program has been around for over a year. The platform to replace the Viper is still being discussed.

    When you schedule the school you need to ask for the Viper Club discount. And you need a valid, paid in full, VCA number.

    Opinions on rear end gearing options

    The Stock gear is great for, daily driving, open track as autocrossing. Had 3:55's and will not go there again. The massive torque of the Viper has no benefit from lower gears, unless you run slicks at a drag strip. IMHO

    I love VOI's for the comradery, Tech sessions with Viper engineers and management, track experience as well as other driving events (Skid Pad, auotocross, karts, etc., depending on the VOI), the dinners are great opportunity to meet friends and make new friends.     What battery and battery charger to buy...???

    The battery tray attachment to the chassis varies from car to car. The Top post batteries will hit the frame on some cars, others may have room. Use a stock battery and Tender.

    Edelbrock Headers?

    Had them on a 97GTS and they worked well. From memory added most(15-25) of the hp in the mid RPM range. At red line HP gain was 10-12 hp. For open track use they work fine as the mid range bump is more useful.
