From what I have noticed is that striped Coupes come with the lower rear bumper painted flat black. Newer solid coupes don't.
Although I have seen pics of one new solid blue coupe with the black lower rear bumper area. Check this link out...
Kaya,
I think you will be very happy with the fit and finish.
The color matching of the aluminum side sills, plastic bumper, and body panels are perfect. The metallic paint is very consistent when you look at it up close.
I thought the paint quality on my vette was very good as well, but I...
Re: Do
At first I thought all these special editions were just a cheesy excuse to make people think these were especially collectable.
Now I just think it is a cool way to give people variety so they can get a car in perhaps a color scheme that really appeals to them.
It makes it more...
I have an 06 Coupe and just took delivery of it.
My first impression is that I am very happy with the interior layout and quality. It is very comfortable, love the gauges and aluminum touches.
Hopefully it holds together.
I just took delivery of a New GTS Blue Coupe Today from Woodhouse. Love the color and the car. Very different from my 2001 Saphire GTS.
Here are some pics.....
I like this one since it is a picture of the new coupe with the GTS in the background........
I'll post some...
I am taking delivery of a solid blue coupe this week. I've always liked the Viper GTS blue and now I get to own a new Viper in my favorite color.
One question I have is that some of the cars have a blacked out rear diffuser and some don't.
Any one know why?
Kaya,
I had a 1999 Nassau...
I currently own a GTS and am thinking about upgrading to a new Coupe.
I think the viper is a blast to drive, but I have to say the exhaust note is the least favorite attribute of the car.
Can any of the new coupe owners compare the cabin sound of a GTS and the new coupe?
Better, worse...
Well,
The high flows are on. Good news/bad news.
The good news is that the side sills are cool as could be. Not even warm to the touch.
The not so good news is that the Corsa exhaust is waaay louder now. It is close to as loud as my Borla setup with the stock cats.
2000 RPM is now very loud...
The adjustment only adjusts the gas and brake pedal.
I am 6'2 and also install a Roe Racing Clutch Lowering kit which worked great. It makes the clutch even with the brake pedal at it's lowest level.
I think it makes the car more difficult to resell. Most people would wonder why the whole care was repainted and maybe shy away from it because they think it might have been damaged or is non original.
On the other hand, if that what makes you happy and you think you'll enjoy it in the new...
Great mod, just getting the clips off the pins was a PIA since you really can't see them. It lines the clutch pedal up with the brake pedal at it's lowest settings. I did not install the gas pedal kit. Actually, I did not know it existed.
I took my seats out to get to the pedals.
I was 19 when I bought my first 68 corvette convertable and 43 when I bought my GTS.
I remember paying $2400 a year for insurance for a 205hp 82 vette when it was new and I was 22 years old, now 22 years later I pay about $1200 per year for insurance for a 450hp viper. I guess it pays to get old!
What corps is saying make no sense to me.
I believe the Challenger is a unibody car built on a modified 300C platform. If anything it could/would be built at the same plant.
Also the Challenger cannot possibly be the same price as a Firepower which would be hand built on the same assembly line...
What I think Bob is saying is that the Firepower would be a sister car to the Viper and will not replace it. That way Chrylser/Dodge can justify running the plant. Simillar to the Caddy Evoke and Vette. Just trying to appeal to more buyers with the same platform.
I would think that the Viper...
Yes,
I bought my 2001 GTS with the Borla on it 2 years ago. I absolutley hated the Drone.
I worked with a local muffler shop and tried a few things:
Mod 1 was adding an H pipe and 8" long 4" magnaflow type resonators and this mod did nothing.
Mod 2 was forgetting about the H pipe...
