I am in the final stages of installing a cruise cotrol system for my 06 coupe.
Can anyone explain how to remove the driver side lower dash(knee blocker) panel? I need to remove this to expose a 12volt Acessory wire as well as mount the cruise control transmitter.
Thanks,
Joel
I'm in the process now of installing it and yes the directions are at best marginal.
As well, it took me a couple hours to figure out how to get the inner fender well off. Basically, you need to loosen up the all the bolts and screws on the side sill and then you can create enought clearance...
It's probably gear whine coming from the rear end. What I noticed on both my GTS and 06 Coupe it happends at around 60MPH, if you let off the gas it goes away, or you accelerate slightly it comes back and gradually disappears as you go another 5 mph or so faster.
It the GTS it was louder than...
I have the Garmin Nuvi and works very well.
I originally bought the roadmate, but it is very heavy and with the harsher ride of a car like a Viper the roadmate bounce up and down with the supplied windshield mount.
The Nuvi was around $700 bucks, but if I had to do it all over again, I'd...
Mine just started doing it. It was fine for the first 8 months of ownership. Although when I took delivery, the latch was stuck open and I took it all apart to unstick the latch and when I put it back together I thought maybe I did not line it up properly.
I guess alot of them do this.
My RBQ just keeps reseting itself and traverses all the CDs and starts from the first CD when I hit bumps or turn the car on or off. Its done it since new, I just haven't brought it back to the dealer to fix.
I'd like to go with the RB1 and ipod adapter. Just a matter of time.
These were my comments when I installed the kit when I owned a GTS:
I'm 6'2" and in search of more leg room in the GTS.
I just installed a Roe Racing "Clutch Modification Kit". It lowered the clutch pedal level with the lowest setting of the brake pedal.
The kit was easy to install although...
Very sad,
I still believe traction and skid control should be standard on a Viper. They should allow the driver to disable both for racing purposes.
There is just too much torque for the average driver. By making it standard would prevent many single car Viper accidents.
The rear speakers are subs. JL Audio makes a 6.5" sub that plugs right in. That's what most people use.
Here is a link to my install when I had a GTS

The RT Highflows need to be welded, John B at parts rack can hook you up with all the right parts to connect your flex pipes to the Borla.
I wound up buying the Roe High Flows for my GTS since they matched up size wise to the stock exhaust or any other cat back system designed to connect to the...
I have only the drivers side lowering kit installed since I'm 6'2". Since my wife is 5'4" no need for a lower seat on the passenger side.
It doesn't look goofy. Plus, most cars have twin power seats and the seats are always in different positions.
I had a 2001 GTS and 2006 Coupe.
Biggest difference is that the GenIII is just more refined.
Better A/C, Better Stereo, seats are more comfortable, overall just easier to drive fast. I really just enjoy driving the GenIII much more especially on long drives.
Fit and finish was actually better...
