May be a few Gen 3 cars with that kind of milage, but I don't think there are too many Gen 4 cars with more miles than my GTS Blue 2008.....54,590.
Bill
True----they won't run out. However, there were several price increases during the 2008 model year. The flip side to that is if there is not enough demand, dealers will discount. I remember visiting Conner during the VOI in Detroit and being told all the 1550 2008 models were sold. Turns out...
I thought SRT's comment on the allocation system had to do with 2003 and the coupon program. It was bad for the dealers because if you had the coupon you could go to any dealer and get your Viper. Without the coupon, the dealer could not get the car. So the dealers who had sold a lot of Vipers...
Followed your link and the text says the color was green. I don't think the picture shown is correct. Looks like a black car? Just the fact the VIN ends in 119 makes me think the car could only be GTS Blue, SSG or Venom Red. My car, VIN 116 is GTS Blue. If you remember, in 2008, the first 3...
Oops!!! What I should have said is the painted grill is not gonna happen from the factory. And I agree, it's an easy thing for the Gen 5 owner to change and even to change back to stock, since it's a removable part.
Bill
By cloth, they mean vinyl. I believe Gen 3 and 4 seats are leather with vinyl bolsters. Good news is you can order leather seats as an option with the SRT Viper, which is what I will do. Be interesting to see the price---My guess is about 1500 for leather. More guessing....100K for the SRT, 4K...
And there were more than enough Vipers to satisfy demand. Granted, this is a different car and will appeal to a different group of buyers, but I hope SRT doesn't get carried away and flood the market. I would rather see too few, that hold their price a little than too many, which just kills...
Hank, I definitely agree with the no chance the Hot Wheels pattern was a random selection. I wonder why they keep showing the traditional stripes with the GTS exclusive hood? The Hot Wheels pattern makes sense for the GTS especially with the rear applique.
Bill
I actually like the 08-09 stripes better, but what it is....is. This is better than the 2010, IMO. I would also like to see the stripes which are going to be offered for the base SRT Viper-- both the front and rear view. I have heard they don't extend into the front fascia. I imagine Ralph has...
Plenty of VCA members have already put down deposits to purchase a new one at MSRP on a first come first served basis with certain large volume Viper dealers, I'm sure.
Bill
Because I accepted a deposit and signed a sales agreement over the weekend. I just don't want to let go of the car with so much good driving weather left this year. Viper changes hands on October 1st--agreement allows me 3,000 more miles. Your thread led to the sale...
Jason, I don't blame you! As I said, probably the best color and certainly the most traditional! The Blue 08 is history on October 1st....53,400 on the odometer so far, not to exceed 56,400.
Bill
I'm sure you're right, and it will be beautiful---maybe the best color IMO. But after owning the 06 FE and trading it for my GTS Blue 08 which Prefix striped, I'm going to go with a different color. I think.....

Heard they were doing high altitude testing last week in Colorado. Glad to see you're liking the Gen V after the real life encounter!
Bill
Put me in the camp with those who don't see the importance of a lowered Viper which will be driven on the street. I have plenty of Viper miles and have been in many traffic situations where I had no choice but to attempt to straddle road debris. Try driving the Detroit freeways sometime in heavy...
