Glad to see that I'm not the only one that got smacked by the WRX.. It's those [******] tight courses! :p All wheel drive works wonders there. I'm looking forward to trying a more open course. I think the Viper will shine when you've got some straight-aways in the mix.
Has anyone had their coolant crossover on the gen I leak and had it serviced under warranty? I have the added care extended warranty (which says that it covers cooling and fuel systems). The local dealership says that the gasket on the crossover is NOT covered under warranty.. I spoke to Chuck...
Great story.. :)
I went to an autocross yesterday as well, but our track was much smaller I think than the one you guys participated on.. it definitely favored the smaller cars (giant skidpad with cones). The TTOD was between a modded GTI and the Subaru WRX.. ah well, first time getting the...
the top is the factory mopar top.. sounds like i need to pull the things out and see if i can adjust them down farther before going down different routes.. i was even thinking i could use the pins off the softtop if push comes to shove..
Thanks for the info!
wondering if anyone else has replaced front pins on a viper hardtop? I found that the new hardtop i got for my '94 has too short of front pins... anyone know if there is a substitute from the auto parts store or is this something i'm going to have to go to dodge for? (or fabricate myself)..
Thanks!
Hi Keith,
Yup that was the car.. Fellow in Vegas had it, didn't meet his reserve on ebay so i hit him up about it after the auction and ended up purchasing it. I had been shopping a bit for one.. I'm getting a hardtop and Vmania side windows in today for it which makes me ecstatic.. LOTS of rain...
Just bought mine at the age of 29.. I think what is important to remember is not so much how the person acquired the car but rather their appreciation of it. I worked for mine, but does it mean that I have more right to it than the fellow who's family had money? It's that sort of mentality that...
I was just curious as to the windows? you sold vmania windows and then what did you replace them with?? Is there a newer and a older version of vmania windows out or did i miss something here? Best of luck with the sportcap thing.. what about using some sort of compressible foam weatherstripping...
Ok.. I am a skeptic here.. Please tell me why this battery is better than optima? Some sort of lifetime warranty on this battery or something? Is there somewhere on your site that you've got the numbers to back up your claim? Other than the $200+ price of billet mounting hardware what's the deal...
The local sports car club is hosting a driving school/ autocross on march 15/16.. Cost is only $50 and I think that includes breakfast on saturday. Eureka is on the 101 in Northern California (4 hours from Bay area, 1 hour south of the Oregon border), 2.5 hours from Redding. Instructors are...
just curious if the color gets filled up with grime fast/ if you have had to clean them yet? Looks cool, but cleaning would be a nightmare i would think
I'm going with the common concensus on this.. It took about a month for my paperwork and card to arrive.. The dealer told me it could take 4-6 weeks for the warranty to arrive.
I think there are some SERIOUS differences between opening your car up Vs. going out, checking conditions and turning your local roads into your racecourse (esp to acquire YEARS of experience doing it). The issue at stake is common sense, If you don't possess a bit of it, then you shouldn't be...
Unless you've got your own private road, you are endangering more than deer. While you are praying to god, you'd better throw in a couple lines for that family that is driving home late at night when you come across the median on one of your "prepared" evening outings. I gotta back up the other...
I'm a recent Viper owner myself and looked at the vette's prior to going the Dodge way.. The styling just wasn't there in the Corvettes.. I'm a gen I/II fan myself, Even if the viper was slower, I'd have gone with it. Corvettes sorta remind me of the type of car you'd buy if you were an old...
Ok.. just wondering if anyone actually uses their tonneau covers? I decided to give mine a whirl today and it was a serious %$#%#@$@ to put on (skinned fingers.. cussing, other pleasantries etc) . Perhaps it was because the things have been in the trunk for so long the vinyl has shrunk...
