I think it only makes sense to get a brand new car to sell after it's highest year of depreciation if money is not an issue. Some people can do that; I know I cannot. I would wait until it makes good financial sense to move to the viper.
Wow...I am getting quoted 2700 balanced and mounted after taxes in Ontario...me thinks something is wrong here?! Ironically I have 3 different tire places in Windsor (Firestone, Pinnacle Chrysler and one other smaller place all quoting 2300 for the tires alone). :eater:
Honestly, this car is worth every penny of 45k. I know people are very quick to say 38-40k (and you can see why as you have two offers before it's listed). This looks mint, is a nice color combo, with quality wheels/mods. I personally feel a month is a "quick sale" and you will have 45k...
Ok thanks. I'll try partsrack. I figured it may be more expensive to order from the states with the import fees and shipping though. Canada is one expensive country to own a car:rolaugh:
I am now in Windsor, ON and it seems like the only tire anyone has is the PS2. Normally I would cross to the US to get the tires but I am in the midst of getting it imported and having safety/emissions tested. Birthday just passed so my US plates are now expired.
I have no problem paying...
Don't get a salvage title car. I bought my 2000 GTS ACR just before the "rock bottom prices" and paid 37k for a damn near mint one. I am not a rich guy either and here is some stuff I have learned on this forum and about this car...
1. Tires are expensive
2. If something happens to this car...
Also, I do notice a lot of valve cover bubbling on the GTS in Walled Lake. Other members that know more about cars can probably confirm it. It is on the right side of the valve cover. That front end definitely looks repainted. Can't confirm it because that color changes hue based on angle...
Walled Lake used to be around where I live (metro detroit). But this is a no brainer. If you get that ACR for 35k...that is awesome. I have a 2000 GTS ACR that I "stole" one year ago for 37k. Obviously the market went down further. It has leveled off a bit and I have noticed pricing going...
thanks again both of you for your immediate help. I think it's time to just join the VCA because the advice here has really helped me out as I am learning to sort out this car. Will PM my VIN to mods to get to Owner and just need to figure out who to talk with to just flat out join VCA. Well...
My luck is horrible lately. I am stuck at work right now and my viper fob is not working (in a business district and seems to have intereference sometimes locking and unlocking). Today it just wont unlock period. tried pushing down both buttons. Alarm is off and now stopped but the emergency...
This is an impossible question to answer. People in MY area think my 2000 Viper ACR is a Ferrari. Attention is contingent upon the area and other cars around that area.
What we can discuss is the design of both cars. Reference the 2002 Motor trend that previewed the upcoming SRT. On the...
Is bubbling on the valve covers normal? I have 4 bubbles (some big) on the left drivers side of the vale cover. After some regular cruising after an hour..the valve cover is extremely hot to the touch..is this normal? What diagnostics do I need to do?
Well decided to go with the jump from a car. It started after the host vehicle was idling for a few minutes. Was about to just pony up and call Dodge to bring out a flatbed and tow in for service. Car started and is home now. At least I learned something; "keep a few sets of keys and FOBS."...
one more question. Since the car isn't starting with the jump from another car, it is on a battery charger which seems to be charging this slower. How long before I have enough juice to fully turn the car over and start? When I originally jumped the car, it started but died after 1 or 2...
Thanks guys. I already went to the dealer today with my title and VIN and got a new key cut (and a new FOB on the way so this crap doesn't happen again). The bad news is the battery is toast. We have it on a charger now and hopefully i will get in action soon so I can get home. Thanks to...
Well the car is sitting for the night. Do i have to tow the car to a dodge dealer to get a key made or can a locksmith do one on site with no key? I'd hate to just have the car towed to then make a key if a locksmith can do it. Tomorrow will be a fun day...It has been so long since bringing...
ok..disassembled the bolt and took off the cable..waited and then reassembled and tried another jump...still dead. OkLONERANGER...the rear window is now shut though, as she came out and left the keys in the car. We are now trying to get into the trunk by going under the license plate....any...
Leaving Easter Sunday with the family, my key fob wasn't working. My wife is small enough to get threw the back window and couldn't start the car..battery dead. I forgot that the fob won't work when the battery is dead. She left the keys in the ignition and the window was shut! I am locked...
I just searched through the past 4 or 5 pages of my posting history (don't post here that much considering I have been a member (non-paying) for years and didn't see any posts on street racing. My guess is that I posted in a thread or two years ago?
Sorry but I don't see the value in...
This sounded fishy even with this response. Why would they end up in front of the driver "for traffic concerns?"
Either way, I am glad this is a fake story. I really can't stand "kill stories" when they occur on public roadways with "traffic concerns." That is usually the sound of newbs...
