That's a right smart looking hood. Well done. If I didn't know better, and saw one of those on a Viper, I would think it was the stock hood - that's how good and right it looks!
I'm unsure about a few things. If someone could shed some light on this...
Regarding Belanger headers, and collectors:
Tom Welch points out that their Belanger headers are the 3-into-2-into-1 design (scavenges very well; makes a nice fit through the Viper's tight frame). He also mentions that...
Re: My SRT\'s GAWK factor went up 1000% !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some people get so excited on here - not even paying attention to what's being said, so excited are they. I just don't understand it. *smirk* ;)
I believe 93 is listed because that is a top octane actually available at the pump in some states. Where there is only 91 at the pump, like CA, that is just fine to use. You don't HAVE to have 93. I read this somewhere, but don't recall where. I come across bits and pieces of information so...
I think it's just that some people want the best in all areas of their Viper. So, to them, it's not about the money. They just want the best, and they pay for the best.
Oh, this is a great post. It's answering some questions that I have had, but was waiting to ask until it got closer to when I'll be purchasing my first Viper. Thanks, Dan. Thanks, guys, for the good information.
Re: A better DRIVER, that\'s how!
It could be said that driving a Viper is an artform, thus, driving a Viper well means that you are an accomplished Viper artist. Consequently, not just anyone can paint like you! Joe Blow goes out and tries it, and guess what? He trashes the canvas, and even...
Yeah, but the thing is, when something like a Ford Focus does that, nobody cares, because - hello - it's a Ford Focus. How exciting is that? It doesn't make you want to run down and get one instead of a Viper. *chuckle*
But don't some get headers for the sound difference, or is that entirely a cats and cat-back thing? The sound, I mean, not increased horsepower. Just talking about sound - which is most definitely a benefit! :)
Woe, Wayne. Now that's exciting supercharger news. Good for any of the Lethal packages. Awesome. Looking forward to seeing the numbers. I'll be reading and taking notes for future use. :)
I can understand that, Jerry. But if you're not going to sell the pictures and have no plans to do anything with them but share them online, what does it matter if people use them? I can't even enjoy them the way they are, which sucks, because I love to find great Viper pictures that I can put...
I was told that the VCA will be releasing a whole new area of the website on such stuff soon. When exactly I don't know. I was not told that. But something new is coming that is supposed to have detailed and complete and corrected and up-to-date information. Yes, I know, I can't wait either! :)
Re: \'96 RT black/black w/silver stripes
You don't have to be a VCA member. It's a separate system from the VCA Viper forum section. Just create an account there as though it were your first. You can even use the same name and password you use for the Viper forum, if you so desire. Like I...
Re: Terry Ruot\'s 01 GTS Goes 8.93@149
According to a recent reading, Terry Ruot's 01 GTS is a 1000 hp twin-turbo He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named Viper. So it's no surprise that it tied.
Don't ask where I read this at, I can't remember, but I DID read this, it was not my imagination. I remember...
Since one of the many helpful things Chuck Tator can do is provide extended warranties on Vipers, I think you should call him. He will likely know how things should go down. It can't hurt. Best of luck on getting this worked out.
Tator's Dodge
Chuck Tator, the Viper Wizard

Hmm. So is this new "cooling solution" top secret or what? Give us some information we can bite into. *grin* I'm chomping at the bit in anticipation. LOL
Re: After 3 years, I\'m still in love!
A very nice write-up on your Viper. You drive it like it was meant to be driven. It takes what you dish out, and keeps right on going...all the while turning heads and eliciting smiles. What a sports car. That's a Viper.
Thanks for the info, Jerry.
Those would be really nice pics if it weren't for the big COPYRIGHT plastered over every Viper in every picture. What's the point in taking nice pictures and sharing them if they're ruined by going psycho on the copyright?
That's really FOTKI'ed up. LOL
