    Anaconda green

Pirate, interesting, pretty costly to do that, a good paint job is expensive and that interior is hard to find (and pricey). If it's really not a factory built '08, either somone with lot's of $$$ did the conversion, or it had damage that may not have hit carfax/autocheck ( I googled the vin...

The Official Gen IV Swing-Arm and pan group buy list

Dan just read your post. That's BS that they chrysler upped the stock pan price from $400-$1200. I remember looking on your site a couple of months ago and seeing the current price, you sold me one for about $800 less, now I see why. To others thinking about this upgrade, you'll need one if...

What you guys think about this offer?

Noticed that all the badging has been removed and the sidepipes have been painted body color. Could be owner preference or evidence of repaint? Looks like that viper spent a number of years in the Phoenix AZ area. Call Eddie Martin the viper tech at Bill Luke Dodge in PHX. He's one of the...

Video: SPT Event (Dan Cragin) @ Willow Springs, 1/5/13

We had a great event hosted, and paid for, by Dan Cragin and Gary Wong, owners of "Speciality Performance Team". 50 plus Viper plus a few of their McLaren customers Ralph Gilles and Dick Winkles brought out two Gen V's (sorry no video of these) Great event, weather sunny, high 50's, no...

    Track Days...

Only way to get an empty track is to rent it yourself with some buddies. Start in the novice group with an instructor in the passenger seat. Events like Speedventures support new drivers that way. Won't have a completly open track but it is very safe.

    Track Days...

Zee, don't know that group but Redsled is correct about the streets of Willow, you want to run big Willow instead. BTW, the SoCal club will be there this weekend, 50 plus vipers, sponsored by Performance speciality Team (Dan Cragin). You can see details on the event on the SoCal board but...

    Radiator Hose Collapse/Flex

Not sure if the SnakeOyl hose will cure the problem? Addding a spring to the stock hose was the cure awhile back. My upper collasped on the dyno at DC a couple of years ago. Here's and old thread discussing the problem...

Dan, this is going to be a great event, thanks so much! Best wishes to the Speciality Performance Team Viper Nation, get out of the snow and see some great action. Over 50 vipers will run, multiple comp coupes and ACR-X's, maybe even Michael Greenburgs Oreca GTS-R. Track is viper fast, some...

    Anyone with Car Lift info?

I went with a liftmaster "jackshaft" opener. Works from the side, nothing overhead http://www.liftmaster.com/lmcv2/pages/productmodeldetail.aspx?modelId=436 Then I had the tracks replaced and angled upward. With that liftmaster it will hold the door even though the tracks slope downward...

What would you like to see in the ACR?

I hope they'll keeep the pricing reasonable. Follow their formula of; suspension (but MCS, not KW's or cockpit contolled Bilsteins), upgraded sway bars, light wheels (including an 18" rear option), brake upgrade (Brembo X front rotors, StopTech rears) stickest DOT legal tires (for magazine...

Anyone recognize this hood and widebody?

Anton, search ViperX10 here and on the web to find more info. Terry Rosi build it from an '03 vert. Stock motor, ton's of CF, LMP rear wing. 3K weight. He took it back to France and sold it. He has all the molds and was considering building another. Built for function, faster than an ACR-X at...

Interested in Viper for sale in L.A.

Duane, better to let that one get away. It had significant damage last fall done by a 3rd party who bought the car from him. You'll find a better viper, good luck, Mike

    Anyone with Car Lift info?

Ron, a number of threads here on this subject. The obvious is that the garage height must equal the height of the 2 cars plus a few inches for the platform and the lower vehicle clearance. Also check where the garage opener chain drive sits. If it's a 2 car generally not an issue. The not so...

Gen 5 vs Gen 4 engine

Dan, thanks! What do you guess would be the hp/trq upside to the Gen V cam and exhaust valves (on a G4 with headers, ported intake and heads)? any other advantages? thanks! Mike

Monday we find out who is faster at Laguna Seca, ZR1 or Gen V

Re: Corvette Needs the Viper to be at the Top of its Game... Lot's of passion here, the Gen V is a great car, but to be the king of the strip or road racing now and in the near future takes more than a Gen IV with 40 extra hp, 100 lbs less weight and some suspension tweaks. 700 hp and a semi...

    Mopar Performance PCM 2008 Viper

Need to find out what the fault code is. Sounds like your viper has gone into "limp" mode. You can use a scan tool or you can do it yourself using your igniton key (look in the owners manual, I think you turn it on-off 3 times and the code will appear on the odometer). I don't think it's your...

    1st track test

Surprised at all the disapointment? Everyone saw the spec's awhile ago, performance should be slightly better than the Gen IV. New Gen V is 100 lbs lighter and has 40 more hp at the flywheel than a Gen IV., when you start at 3450 lbs and 600 hp that isn't dramatic. The revolutionary changes...

Jog/Kratos, Glad I could help, I've been in the industry for 30 years working for captives finance companies such as Chrysler and Hyundai as well as a couple of major banks. I've always found that the leasing is mot very clear even by bright people, it's really pretty simple and just...
