OK, i'll bite on that 2000 Black RT10, would you not agree that Chevrolet loses money and has lost money on every ZO6 that they have built? They took weight off that car, hand built engine, and the brake upgrade. Revenue for the Viper is about 150 [ok 144m] million in a good year.. ..1800 cars...
I agree, now it is and should be survival mode. I feel for anyone who invested 25 years like the individual who posted here. Unfortunatly the world changed, $4.00 gas and a housing collapse has put tremendous pressure on the Big 3. Chrysler's parent has other problems, a 50 per cent investment...
Exactly; at Barrett/Jackson I checked the vin no. vs the 1-50 number and there was no relation whatsoever. I have 007/50 but it was not the seventh one built.:2tu:
Yes, you can order a Viper with no stripes; arrange to have Prefix stripe it however I spoke with someone who did just that and Prefix quoted a price that was more than double a factory option stripe.
I posted earlier on this thread the problems I had, and I see NOTHING wrong with Wormdoggy posting the problems he has had; I understand that problems can always crop up with aftermarket products. I am just personally disappointed with the person I bought the system from and the manufacturer...
I saw your car in Rochester and it is a very nice car; I was invited to ride shotgun in a 1960 F-250 6 cyl 4 speed so I did not have my Viper there. Prior to joining the tour in Ames IA, i thought with poor economy and high gas prices, turnout would be poor; then I find out they had 4000 cars...
I had EXACTLY the same problem; i purchased that system tip to toe in spring of 06 and burned out the o2 sensor repeatedly which resulted in check engine light coming on. After complaining to John B and Lou Bellanger I was told he had now developed a "heat sock" to protect the sensor. [now you...
I posted this a few weeks ago; our club visited Archer Racing May 10 and Tomy Archer was there and spoke about both cars. He felt that the Comp Coupe is faster but not by much. He did the testing for Dodge on both cars. He did say that he was testing the 08'ACR coupe at track earlir this year...
I purchased a new silver 04 and the top worked perfectly from day1; I can understand and would personally be upset if I had the experiance you describe with your new '08; the Conner plant was closed for some 15 months and re-opened with a new manager and workers and I am just guessing but...
Yes and Yes, call John Archer at 218-727-4806 at Archer Racing and he can suggest fluid and pads. I am not familiar with the layout at Pocono; if this is a road course with heavy braking, you can't go with old fluid...it will boil out and the pedal will go to the floor when you need it the most.
Well, I can tell you that Bonkers is right on the money; The winner of the ACR may have got a break on the value or "taxable amount" because it was treated as a used car as it had miles on it; I can tell you that my taxable amout for both state and federal income tax purposes was approx. sticker...
The seat belt dinging can be turned off just by following the instructions in the owners manual; this feature would be used by those with 5 or 6 point belts installed and not using the seat belt at a track day. My condolances to the family; we will never know but perhaps if the driver had spent...
The bill on 007 is approximately $85,000. Many of the Comp Coupe owners have purchased insurance which does have a high deductible [18000] but you are covered if something happens.....the damage on the cars pictured are from Sebring couple weeks ago.
Tommy Archer said that he did some testing of the new ACR Coupe at a track that Viper Days had visited several weeks prior; his times were 4 seconds faster than the FASTEST Comp Coupe had run. I should add he then said he was not saying that the ACR was faster than a Comp Coupe because the times...
I'm not aware of any; i have 007 of 50 and i was in Phoenix to pick it up back in Jan 06 at Barret-Jackson.....one was destroyed in a horrific crash in April 07 in Phoenix when the owner took it out early AM weekday and lost control and went under stationary tractor trailer and wound up in...
Interesting that the buyer does NOT respond with a post that says "gee, i don't know what to tell ya, I just went out and bought a car, everything checked out, and I think I got a good buy"; no, we get an an angry dissertation about how rich and successful the buyer is; that pretty much tells me...
