I had a 1997 GTS for 6 years and much prefer the 06. The seats are more suportive, much better brakes, and you ever track the car the gen 3's and 4's are very easy to heal and toe due to much improved pedal placement. If you can heal and toe a gen 2 you are a better man than I.
:omg::omg: good luck with the sale; one of my favorite models. It is my understanding they were originally going to build 100 but I don't think they did.. What number do you have?
Wished I could have gone; drove up there in Jan in my daily driver and went all the way to Roosevelt Lake and then over to Globe and back down 60; great drive.
I had for 6 years a 1997 GTS[with the gold package] and then purchased a new 2004 silver SRT-10....the biggest difference was the SEATS; 10 hours in a Gen 3 or 4 is no problem; 10 hours in a Gen 1 or 2 is a problem.

i have a full bellanger system tip to toe, and i didn't notice much difference from stock; sometimes i put the air on low even with the windows down and my spouse never complains.
Another 2 deaths, who will it be next month? Yes, I have broken speed laws but many[not all] of these horrible accidents wouldn't happen if the driver spent some time at Viper Days or other driver school getting comfortable with 500-600 HP. Just my 2 cents; my prayers to the family; terrible...
Never could figure this one out and no one has ever come up with an explanation; my '06 certainly has it, my '08 does not...when I was at VOI in Detroit I looked at the '08 SRT Vipers at the prooving grounds and they all had it. 10 Bonus points for the one who can provide a correct answer to...
I think I mentioned this several years ago but I will repeat it since I thought it was interesting; when the 50 2006 VCA coupes were delivered at Barrett/Jackson I checked about 10 there to see if there was any relation between the vin no. and the number on the console [1-50], there was no...
