I would suggest not drawing any conclusions from a rendition; wait until you you see an actual photo or in person and then conclude whether or not you like it. Perhaps from the number it has, it may be in the ring during the live speedvision coverage on Saturday.
I owned one for 6 years; a 1997 red GTS with the "gold package"...it had gold wheels; i don't recall anything else unique to that option; i think they build 7 of em.
In 2004, they did white and black mamba, 200 of each and each one is numbered with a plate on the console. In 05 they did 200 silver Mambas....also in 05 they did 300 Copperheads and they are numbered also. No performance difference, just the mambas all had special red interiors. The Copperhead...
Sorry i guess the link goes to Tuesday; go to Saturday on the link and the Hurst Viper is #1328. evidently they are doing 50 of em and this one[like everything else there] is no reserve.
They all had the same sticker price of $91,990. I was fortunate to have bought one and my wife and I had a terrific time going to Phoenix to take delivery; the VCA just did a fantastic job and it is the best Viper I have owned to date.
Yes, I saw that, someone really bought that car right...with the car market down and winter coming I just don't know what would be a fair price on an 05 with higher mileage but would just guess lower 40's. [i would have said upper 40's just several months ago]
My 2008 does not have any emblems on the rear bumper[non acr] i checked the 08's that were at the Chrysler proving grounds provided by dodge and they all had the emblems. I was going to ask the folks at conner about this but i forgot.
We took the tour on Thursday and '09 production started that day according to our guide..the last 1/2 of the line were '08's, :) the first half of the line were '09's....took a picture of the last 08 and the first 09..they were parked to each other bout 1/2 way down the line with no body panels...
Re: A Big Thank You To Chrysler For Voix
Fantastic job by all who put this together; just a first class event. Thanks to our National Board, the folks at JR Thompson, and Dodge who I am told really stepped up to the plate.
Just an FYI, 6 cars or more will be spending Tuesday evening in Michigan City, Indiana at the Carlson Country Suite. Pull into Detrioit on Wed around noon.
I sure enjoyed reading that; my first experiance with a Viper was also in Las Vegas back in 1996 when a buddy and myself rented a 1995 black RT 10 from Sunbelt Car Rental on the strip....drove it up to Rachel, NV [near area 51] and back. Flew home and months later I had a 1997 Red 1997 GTS in...
