    Im not sure what detonation even sounds like? Only under hard load? My GTS had check engine light on for a while and I think computer reverted to safe mode. This is a rich condition, correct? I have no cats so dont think there would be any harm in it.

    Harmonic balancer went...

    Vipermed pretty much cleared this up for me but wonder if anyone here has had or heard of it happening before. Harmonic balancer separated from crank, hence crank pully assembly wont turn accessories with serpentine belt. Motor being sent back to arrow.

    My babied 00 GTS is having motor sent to Arrow for rebuild. Serpentine belt kept slipping off. Tech installed new belt and tensioner to no avail. Took measurements and found crank shifted towards front of car with pulley ....throwing belt off alignment! Sounds like the least of my problems...

    Update for anyone interested. Serpentine belt broke due to faulty tensioner. Pulley tensioner lost spring pressure and belt loosened and got shreded. Dodge dealer said he has never seen one fail. Who knows. Anyone have this problem?

    I will definitely be stashing one in the trunk for the future. Vipermed is overnighting me one thank god. Both local Dodge dealers in my area dont have one and said 2-4 days for delivery. Meanwhile my snake is at least safe at my buddy's house. Oh well, lovely xmas surprise.
