If you go with a later model you can get the airbag cutoff and it will be cheaper than a 96. The 96's are priced around the 02's so you would get "more" car for your money going newer.
I am not sure you can compare the car you bought to the one being sold in this thread. I am not sure that "fresh paint" is a good selling point on an 01. Why does an 01 need fresh paint? That sounds like an accident fix to me.
Good luck with the sale, that is a great price. I would have...
What a great experience driving the CC at such a big event. Does the event have a website or a flier you can post as it sounds like a very interesting idea.
BTW, That helmet is great!:headbang:
In the future the 96's might be worth more but up until now I don't see it. I would have bought either one but looking back am glad I went with the 96 as it is an instant classic. I would say, if you can get a 96 with 10k miles for $45 I would jump on it. I would think it should be closer to...
The problem is, what percentage of Viper owners read this forum? 30%, 20%??? I would say a vast majority of owners never read any forums. That is how these shops stay in business. Think of H, he just built a huge brand new shop even though he is banned from here. It just shows that this is...
Who looses to a NSX in a drag race? That is the most rediculous part of the whole video! I also can't believe they were making fun of the plastic cross hatch in the front bumper. The Japanese invented the plastic front bumper. I did think it was funny how they cracked up looking at the...
I put my car on the scale with Blower and Meth and it weighed 3375. You loose the weight of the stock intake manifold so I think it only adds about 50 lbs. My guess is that a stock car would weigh 3325.
22-25 % loss... You must have an AWD Viper, which is rather rare. I think what the dyno operator was trying to convey is that his type of dyno needs to use a 22% correction factor to equal the crank numbers from a dynojet. IE, that his dyno produces lower numbers than that of a dynojet...
The picture posted is of the "sparkle" wheels. They look almost like a matte finish from 10 feet away as shown in the picture. If you kneel down and are 1 foot away they have some metalic flake in the paint.
I have seen a few GTS's with the silver wheels. I saw a B/W in LI with them. I think they might be "rare" as they are the base wheel. However most Viper's came with the polished wheels which really look a lot better.
Re: Roe S/C for Gen III's coming soon????
I think what people are trying to say is do not put estimated HP in your sig as it is missleading. A lot of people like to learn from other people's mods and actual dyno numbers. Estimating numbers does not help people and actually spreads...
I extended each wire individually, making one long DB9 cable. I do not see the need for the DB9 outside of the car. The in car cable can be made long enough to hang out of the window if needed. I use the ground bolt behind the front tire for all grounding.
Exactly!!! If you think your ~485wheel is scary do not even think about 900wheel. Honestly, you have no idea what that number actually represents in brutal acceleration. Get a base Paxton kit and put down 620wheel. That is over 700 crank and you will be very pleased.
Phil, I am surprised you are even asking this question. Plum Crazy Purple would look very hot on a silver car. Or you could see if you could get the paint code for the new Viper Violet.
Wow! I just saw this post and I am so relieved you were able to walk away without a scratch. Things like this can happen at any time and it is all to sobering. I hope you do purchase an 08 to turn these lemons into lemonade. I do not think that there is a nicer individual in the Viper community...
