lets see i own a supercharged truck, a supercharged boat, a turbocharged car and a turbocharged motorcycle. yea you guys are right........ i dont know anything about boost. what was i thinking? i guess i will just have to put nitrous on my viper and blow all you retards away :nana...
in marine applications and towing applications where centrifugal superchargers are used i have always seen a boost-a-pump used. thats because centrifugal superchargers build boost like turbos. you need a rising rate fuel pressure curve as your rpm's increase :2tu:
any one of these problems that everyone is stating here could be an issue. that bein the case since you don't have any of these mods for your fuel system i would get them all. and as far as the vec goes i have heard of people having problems with those. i have never heard anybody having a...
my brother bought scott speeds old formula mazda open wheeled race car last month. he is already winning races with it, lol
scott autographed his shifter kart too
17.5:1  and thats at only 4,400 rpm's  how long have you been running the engine in this condition? if its been more than 100 miles the tops of your pistons are probably paper thin by now. as you can see as your boost goes up your fuel flow is basically doing absolutely...
fuel supply is reallly basic. bigger fuel pump, bigger fuel pressure regulator, bigger fuel injectors and bigger fuel lines and fuel rail. that's all there is too it. none of these items should be needed until you make in excess of at least 600 rwhp and maybe even as high as 700 rwhp. i think...
Re: got my viper dyno\'d - pic inside
i have another bit of adivice for you guys concerning tuning. since the stock vipers ecu works off of different fuel maps its always a good idea to verify that the fuel map which your vipers engine is deciding to use at different elevations is properly...
Re: got my viper dyno\'d - pic inside
all the tuning done on my vipers engine was done by manipulating the stock computers parameters. no aftermarket controller such as the mopar race controller or vec 1 & 2, etc. was used to tune my car. to my knowledge WCV is the only tuner in the world...
if i ever wanted a turbo on my viper i would absolutely send it you guys. obviously SVS turbo systems are the best! turbo systems that do more than just win dyno shootouts. turbo systems that set world records at major racing events throughout the USA.
:usa:
awesome! congratulations on your accomplishments! i am guessing when you go to mirages 1.3 mile track in cali that you will get close to your bonneville record of 246 mph assuming you can get the tranny to take 17 psi. whats the elevation at mirage and will you be runnin on pavement or the dirt...
a stock viper does not do 175 mph in 1 mile. 165 mph is the best a gen 2 viper gts can do. by the time vipers get to 261 mph in the mile busas will be doin at least 280 mph
while i agree that its best to wait for a break in traffic........some people just have a higher calling
and with that said > that busa straight walked that viper :nono:
