Thanks for the info...I still would want to see if the car has gained any power with 6000 miles on the clock. It does feel more powerful now than when it was new.
I just had the E and F updates for the 08 viper due to the car going into limp-mode a couple of times. I will give the car a few weeks to learn the new flash and see if I can feel any gains (Dyno, throttle responce, etc).
A 200hp bike will get smoked by a 1000hp Viper...been there done that! I ran my freinds modded GXSR 1000 in my old TT Viper on low boost (870 rwhp) and put a few cars on him. I ran a 600cc R6 in my stock 08 and pulled him hard past 140mph. Both are decent riders so skill did not play apart in...
x2 most bikes start to run out of steam around 150-160mph. If the guy riding the bike stays in it you will start to pull him up top.
I own an 08 Viper and 08 R6. The R6 is quicker to 130-140 but after that the Viper starts to show its fangs.:2tu:
You have to take the rest of the run into consideration...look at the numbers again and try to figure out how far the vette is out at the beginning of the run....I think it would be closer than seven cars. I bet with equal drivers the Viper would be infront by 1-3 cars.
Nemo,
Both Malu(Jason)and I have had problems with our clutches. Soft pedal feel and getting overheated easily seems to be our biggest problem. I replaced the stock fluid with the ATF super blue about 1000 miles ago and the clutch has been performing better.
Try to change out your clutch...
I ran my freinds 06 Gallardo and walked him easily to 165mph(3-4 cars)...no way a stock Gallardo could hand with a 08 Viper from a 40-50-60roll to 165mph.
My freinds a good driver and owns many high performance vehicles so it was not a driver advantage.
your car does seem to be reading...
I ran 170mph...car had 850 miles on it and it was running into a 20-30mph headwind(wind was knocking 5-8mph off most cars). I'm going back this OCT to run the mile again 100% stock with 5000+ break-in miles. The car feels alot stronger so I'm expecting high 170's to low 180's if the wind is...
