If you can get thru to him, Keatings personal mechanic and Viper tech is at Port Lavaca Tx. Dodge. I have met him but cannot remember his name. As you know he won back to back Viper Cup championships in his ACR-X a few years ago and his wrench can give you ALL the info you need.
Great post and info. Glad its sorted out now and another reason I personally have my Viper tech do all the work. He breaks it (hardly ever) dealer pays for it.
Most posts with good questions like yours on here usually ends in a heated debate unfortunately. Some have the right answers, some do not, and some could care less. I would suggest at least a one day driving school with or without your car to really learn what to do AND a professionals way of...
Street vs track is a whole different style for the most part but DONT use the clutch to brake or slow anywhere as it can cause the rear end to come out on you and loose control.
Best tender by far is the Deltran and simply use the 12v in the console as its hot all the time. Best price for the tender is always on Amazon and they last forever. The 12v connector is an option to buy but cheap !!
We were there for 4 days in the infield and the weather was near perfect this time. Huge crowd this year and not too many long yellow cautions. Nice to have a sponsor like TI and Farnbacher really showed his stuff on a long last stint to take the win for GTD. Corvette won GTLM but it was close...
VERY nice and compared to some I have seen on here. Guess you guys came from the strip with all that shoe polish. Any real time drag strip numbers if you guys went to the strip?
I agree somewhat especially regarding your Gen 2 as they were built very reliable and still are and I truly miss mine. Like an old saying, they don't build em like they used to still exists.
When I bought my brand new 09 Gen 4 ACR it had been sitting at the dealer (Tomball Dodge) nearly a year during the recession and I had only one very minor problem taken care of on delivery. No strut leaks or internal engine problems thank goodness.
Very glad to hear this actually and I am surprised but on the same page. And road racing is the really complete true challenge of which car is the best in performance. My reference to money muscle refers to what I cannot stand about most drag or street racing as it usually comes down to who put...
It amazes me of all the serious problems that many owners are having with their Gen Vs. Engine internals and now this. Hope the 1 of 1 Vipers get some real attention to mechanical areas from the engineers. And I sure hope your dealer has a good tech and can get your shocks replaced asap.
Tons of options and colors to pick from, and yours will be just that, 1 of 1. No two can be alike. 645 HP. Starting prices look ok. Slow sales bringing this on by Tim K.? Should be some interesting builds for some and know they have 1 of 1.
I totally forgot how far back 2010 was. Bad gin I guess when I responded !! Thanks for the correction and they are a beast to say the least. Keating won the championship twice with one in the old cup series.
Bought my last 2 Vipers form him and am fortunate Tomball is close by too. He really has the inventory to pick from not to mention a super great tech as well.
Ouch, now where are those pesky posts about GM recalls? I would ask someone with the Calif. Viper club or they may respond here. Im sure one of them can lead you to a good dealer tech they use for the warranty work.
Viper Exchange had one of these for sale awhile back and they are really awesome. Each one came with a VHS tape that was taken during the assembly and put in the glove box for the first owner. A true collectors car.
