Hey Matt,
I am on a pit crew for a comp coupe team. We run the same rear knuckles as the production viper (as did all the comp coupes). As you can imagine it can get rough out there.
I don't buy the light swerve and knuckle breaking..... New owner in a viper, winter conditions and back...
I just don't believe that a light swerve can break anything on a viper. These are the same knuckles that are on every ACR and competition coupe since day one. It would seem viper owners have a lot of bad luck with seeing deer in bad weather
This is at the bottom of the advanced notice that we got.
reassure the customer that the failure rate for this issue is less than 0.03% and that there have been no reported crashes, fires, or fatalities related to this issue. Reported injuries associated with this issue have been minor.
Looks Like I was wrong. Keeping in mind everything we have looked at is pre-production. You would need to cut the inner tie rod mounts off the frame and mount them in front of the rear wheel and I don't think you will be able to take advantage of the cooling effect for the rear caliper unless...
I had one Gen 4 viper with both rod #3 and #4 bearings completely damaged. The oil was two months old and still on the full line. There is no such thing as a perfect wet sump system. The Gen 4 pan is a well developed wet sump but not perfect.
I agree with Viper X about keeping the level right...
As a start, if the battery was low you will need the re-set the body computers window stops. bring the windows all the way down and hold the button until the window stops do the same thing for the up position.
If that does not work, the manufacture procedure involves using a Chrysler scan...
Actually a lot of Chrysler dealerships in Ontario ordered 2013 vipers. Many are interested in putting a viper in the showroom to attract attention to other product. Some want to get in the game and start servicing the vipers on a larger scale, but have no understanding of the viper community...
Denpends on what you want to do. these cars really dont need much to go quick. A lot of differnt vendors on here sell cams, head services and tunes to support the mods.

Does he just say he is a viper tech or did he actually do the four days of viper training. We spent 1/2 a day taking the back end apart to set dynamic toe during the course. I don't see how you could miss it.
The "fitting" part number does not show an update, 52088914AA still an "AA". It would be nice to have a replacement, I have noticed slow leaks over time. It is a pain to change a perfectly good line because you can't replace the fitting.
WOW three connectors, you sure everything else is ok...
If you remove all the screws from the door panel you will have enough room to get one arm in at the bottom and push the clips from the inside. The clips are on a 45 downward, you don't want to pull the panel straght up or out
Yes and no.
Chrysler only sells the top trim as a complete door panel. Normally we can find the top trim that breaks used. But expect to pay $250 - $300 for it.
The correct way to diagnose this problem is to use the scan tool to talk to the computer that controls the windows (body control module). It will likely have a stored fault from the last time you had a problem. There are 7 different fault codes for each window. If you know the code there is a...
Hey
Just for simplicity's sake why don't you switch the right and left windows switches, they are the same part number and you have nothing to lose.
Good luck
I don't understand, Are you saying the window hit the roof? I am not saying the regulators never fail, they do. After reading this thread and hearing complants about repeat failures it really makes me wonder if the replacement regulators were installed AND ADJUSTED correctly.
Check for play on...
We run the support brackets on my Comp coupe team and I have been told they came from the factory on all the ACR X cars (can someone please check if you have an X)
I agree the supports are more of a race item, My concern is if I ever hit anything with a rear wheel I do not want to make it worst...
