    Tire size question

No, you don't have to buy new tires. You can buy some used 19/20" tires that will do the trick just fine. :)

    Removing bolts on valve covers??

So..... A pair of vise grips and twist? Or are they just not supposed to be removed?

    Removing bolts on valve covers??

I did a search, and nada. It's too damn hot for me to pull a valve cover to look, so I'm going to ask: Do you have to remove the valve covers in order to remove the bolts that are on the sides? The bolts I'm referring to are the ones that the sparkplug wire holders mount to. I can remove 1...

    GADS! Are B/W's now orphans?

So....... You're in the market for a 96 B/W. You expect the dealer price to be $43000, with $41000 being what you'd expect them to take for it. You found the Viper you're looking for, at a dealership, for $40k with no takers, yourself included. :dunno: gtstom: I think you have it priced...

    GADS! Are B/W's now orphans?

DAMN!! That is a NICE example. I'd say the economy for cars is still in the crapper right now, as the price seems to be lower than I expected. :(

    viper gts vs mustang gt500????

It will come down to driver no matter the venue. What I find amazing is that Ford has improved lap times on the 2011's by 9 seconds!!! Compared to the 2010 model, the 2011 ran a 2:58:48 at VIR, stock all the way down to the tires. Yep, faster than the Ford GT, Audi R8, and Corvette Grand...

    poly mounts to improve shifting?

I have both the Woodhouse motor mounts and tranny mount in mine. Vibration was bad for the first couple of hundred miles. After about 600 miles or so, it seems to be back to normal. Can't wait to hit the track this summer to see if it helps my missed shifts from last year.

    Please help...

I had similar symptoms with mine. I ended up with 2 batteries in 2 years. Solution? Battery Tender from JonB on the 3rd battery. That was 2 years ago and NO more battery issues for me. :) I'd definitely get a new battery, just so you can rule that part of the problem out. The 2 places...

    rear caliper tool needed

The small needle nose pliers didn't work for me either. The "cube" from Harbor Freight was also a bust, although I should've known to grind the nubs down like Ratical2 did. What worked like a champ was a larger set of needle nose pliers from Home Depot, like this one: Klein Tools 8 In...

AL/TN Tail of the Dragon '10

Re: Update on Tail Of The Dragon (U.S.129) Closure I heard his insurance company covered him, but haven't seen or heard from the guy since, so who knows. I do know that every thread related to his crash was deleted nearly as quick as they popped up. I'm guessing a deer may have caused him to...

which sparkplugs do you like best?

I currently use the RC12EEC plugs in my lightly modded Viper, with just a few bolt ons. RC12LYC would be fine as well.

    Anyone know the dimensions to.....

the small torsion spring located around the hinge pin of the GTS gas door assembly? :D I've located a spring manufacturer who can make some replicas of the spring I lost, but they need to know the dimensions since I have no sample to send them. I'll cost me $11 each for a minimum of 10, but...
