    DAIMLER/CHRYSLER INSISTS ON CRUSHING! A PERFECT 2001 RT/10

Thanks Chuck, Look guys, I'm not standing up for Mr. CAPS. I'm just saying that typing in all caps is something that is easy to ignore. It's even easier to ignore since it's something that you don't have to read anyway. Notice, I don't type in all caps. I'm not a fan of all caps. But I'm not...

    DAIMLER/CHRYSLER INSISTS ON CRUSHING! A PERFECT 2001 RT/10

"Typing in all caps is considered yelling or screaming online" In person, yelling or screaming would be considered bad form. I wouldn't want to be around someone who was yelling or screaming. The fact that someone has decided that all caps means screaming or yelling, doesn't make it the same...

    DAIMLER/CHRYSLER INSISTS ON CRUSHING! A PERFECT 2001 RT/10

I'll have to say that I have no trouble reading the all caps text. "i think that it is just proper internet ETIQUETTE to not type in caps," I think that it's poor etiquette to mention it more than once. After that, don't read it if you don't like the looks of the text format. IMO, Only a real...

How to tell if my 94 has A/C?

If I were him I would, at most, offer to give you the money back. If he sold the car as is, I'm not sure that you have much of a case. You looked at the car, you didn't know there was no AC, he can say the same thing. If he is in some other state, you are even more out of luck. Do you plan to...

    DAIMLER/CHRYSLER INSISTS ON CRUSHING! A PERFECT 2001 RT/10

Strange that Arrow wouldn't catch the overheating when they ran it after rebuild. It does sound like the waterpump shaft problem. And I know some folks seem to be rubbed the wrong way by EXMALIBU. But, All the harping on him for the all caps is just nonsense. The fact is, he can type with...

Snake license plate holder with eyes that light up when braking

If you like this, JC Whiney has all kinds of cool stuff. You could get some of them mud flaps with the chrome nekid lady on em. And a fuzzy steering wheel cover to match the dice hanging from the mirror. And a color coordinated air deflector that says, "Here Come Bubba". I don't care who ye...

    Frame damage

AviP, What's so special about him buying HIS wreck back from the insurance company? If there is money to be made, rebuilding totaled Vipers, I say go do it. I think you will find that there isn't much to be made. His car would not be worth more than about $35k as a salvage rebuild. The...

Who has the most miles on their Viper?

Mine has 107K+ Engine was replaced at 95k for head gaskets. I believe there is one with more. I seem to remember it was in Alaska.

    Frame damage

"Buy back the car from the insurance company" I wouldn't do that. There is no gain in getting involved in a Viper with major damage. He probably wouldn't buy some other wreck and get it repaired. Why would he buy his own wreck and get it repaired?

    Question about octane booster.

Yes, my math was off. That's probably because I don't believe any of those products will boost 1.5 to 2.0 octane numbers.

Replacing the coolant with water and Water Wetter

And I always wondered if distilled water was really a requirement. Could there be enough calcium or anything else in a couple of gallons of water to really matter? If you have a steam iron that boils water and you keep adding new water, the minerals will build up. I don't see that in a car. I...

Aluminum flywheel? Good or bad? opinions please?

I used to race stock cars. We were supposed to have stock flywheels in the class I was in. Stock car racers always cheat, you knew that didn't you? Well, I replaced the stock 24lb iron flywheel with an 8lb aluminum one. Believe me, it made a difference. Accelerating and braking. You let off...

    Question about octane booster.

I think the "points" mean .1 points. A boost of 15 to 20 points would take 93 to 93.15 or 93.20

Any of you guys run a 75/25 mix in your radiator?

I told you and ViperSRT told you exactly the same thing.

Any of you guys run a 75/25 mix in your radiator?

I think you will find that the anti freeze is called coolant these days. I believe that it does raise the boiling point. Of course the pressure does too. But if you have coolant, the boiling point will still be higher. I'm not talking about the whole thing boiling over. I'm talking about hot...

Re: One for the math Guru\'s, show me your stuff! "I use some string and measure it...works for me..." High level math, string theory.

I don't think I would take the corrosion possibility too lightly. Also, there are always places in the cylinder heads that get very hot. If you have a 75/25 mix, the boiling point might be low enough to cause local boiling in those areas.

    Methanol

You could probably measure the specific gravity of the washer fluid to check for consistency from batch to batch. When I was racing stock cars, they would often check our fuel, looking for alcohol. The test kit had three vials. They would take 1 oz of fuel and 1 oz of water and pour them into...

Exhaust Question! (I'm new, could use some help)

Re: Exhaust Question! (I\'m new, could use some help) On my gen1, I just removed the stock mufflers, replaced with 3" straight through Belanger muffler. Left the stock cats in place. My car sounds like World War Two. You don't want anything more than that. On the gen1 you have side exhaust...

One VERY strong Early 1993 RT/10!

Seems like the gen1 cars were seeing numbers at least 10 or so under 400 RWHP. When did we get all this extra power?

Who has the best Radar detector??

Gerald, The V1 has the directional indicators. I like that feature. The other one might be cheaper but the direction is nice to know.
